Preseason is over so time for a new thread, I hate to the thread off a sad note but we've got to talk about the passing of Flip Saunders.

The Pelicans are looking really bad through two games, I mean it's only two games but they do not look like a playoff team.
But the Pistons have looked really solid so far. Baynes has been solid off the bench for them and Drummond is finally becoming the beast he's capable of being.

Detroit is a playoff team. The Pelicans are not. The West is too loaded. Jahlil Okafor is going to be a beast. The Lakers are just plain stupid for passing him up lol. Turns out Porzingis can play.

Watching the Knicks Hawks game right now. Porzingis has looked really good so far, i'm also impressed with Horford's new range.
Also Tiago still can't finish to save his life.

Also the Knicks defense is awful. They can't switch or rotate off the ball to save their collective lives. Hawks are getting whatever they want whenever they want it.

So CoJo's looking pretty solid in Toronto. Still don't think he's worth what they paid but he's been a nice addition to their bench so far.

So the Rockets fired McHale, not a shocker but he wasn't the problem. I feel like Harden is becoming Iverson version 2.0.

They were going to fire him 2 years ago so, no not a shocker. They lucked into the WCF last year or he would have been gone after the playoffs. I don't think he was the problem either but you can't fire the players and any team with Dwight Howard without a strong coach he will listen to inst going anywhere anyway.

Totally agree. They've got a very talented roster but that teams been a walking implosion for a while now.
I agree Dwights a man child but I really think Harden's that teams biggest issue both on and off the court. He seems like Iverson version 2.0. He only seems to care about two things; scoring on and off the court.

I'm still not too concerned about the Warrior's start yet. I always say the same thing this time of year because the NBA in Nov. and Dec. is an entirely different league in April and May. I say let them have their hot streaks in now and not later. Also, maybe it might burn them out a little bit later on having to deal with trying to win at that kind of pace.
I still cant believe that Philly hasn't won at least a couple of games by now. There is definitely some talent on that roster.

They do have some talent but that roster is just too unbalanced, they some talent at guard and they need it soon.
The idea of tearing it down and tanking for talent makes some sense but I think Hinkie's taken this too far.

I wouldn't be against it. We'd probably have to waive Rasual but JJ is better than him in every way.
He'd be a Mike Finely like addition for us.

So Clippers drop Josh Smith and pick up... wait for it... Jeff Ayres.
I liked Ayres work ethic and genuinely felt sorry for him at times. He has super quick hops, can rebound and might just fit in with the Clippers if he has learnt how to catch the ball.
As for Smith, he went 1-10 in his first game back with the Rockets, lol.

I'm happy for Ayres seems like a really smart dude and he should get plenty of chances to prove himself in his 10 days with the Clippers. They have zero depth in the paint.
As for Smith, I think he's done. Another overly athletic player that never learned to the play the game.
