GT: Spurs vs. Knicks

When: 7:30 PM ET, November 2, 2015
Where: Madison Square Garden, New York, NY

The Knicks have actually looked somewhat respectable through three games so this won't be an easy one. They're still kinda of a mess on the defensive end but their offense is well above average and Melo's a threat to go off every night so we can't sleep on these guys.

We're going to need a big night from Kawhi on the defensive end to win this one and it'd be nice to see Tony and Danny put up some points and get themselves going finally.

Go Spurs!!

Hi guys, Knicks fan here who is a long time admirer of the Spurs. I'm contemplating buying a ticket to the game tonight - can you guys confirm whether Duncan is playing? I desperately want to catch him in person before the end of his career.

Thank you and look forward to a fun battle. Duncan/Aldridge will be fun against Rolo/KP/O'Quinn.

No official word yet but it's still early in the season so I can't us resting him already.

Thanks - I'm hoping that given the Knicks aren't an "easy" opponent this season, the Spurs will be taking it seriously. I also want to face you guys at full strength to see where we stack up against a top team in the West.

The problem is that tickets to the Garden are always expensive :).

Its amazing how much better Kawhi is now than Carmello Anthony. The Knicks really need to have him guard someone else. The block Kawhi had wasn't called a foul because it was clean. It was because he's Kawhi Leonard. Most of the time Anthony is getting that call in NY.

Man, when we go into one of those 5-6 minute funks where no one can score that usually dooms us, LMA is going to bail us out big time this year.

I'm only looking at the boxscore, but is there any reason why David West hasn't been getting that many minutes?

I just don't think there are a lot of minutes for him to get when Timmy, LMA and Boris are playing regular minutes. The same thing goes for Ray McCallum . They will be important guys eventually as the season goes on I'm guessing. Once we start resting guys on back to backs for sure. I'm looking at West to just kind of hang around most of the season anyway but become very important come playoff time.

To piggy-back on my earlier comment about Aldridge, I counted at least 2 times in the 3rd and 4th quarters where we went stagnant on offense like we do a lot and the Knicks got back into the game. On both occasions we finally isolated LMA with his back to the basket and he backed someone down and got a bucket to stop a Knick run. This is going to be huge for us going further into the season and the playoffs. I'm not saying we would have lost last night but we would have surely fell behind on both occasions and would have had to come back. But with LMA there we were able to keep the lead.

He's what we've been missing for the last year and a half or so and I agree that extra dimension that he brings is really going to elevate our offense.

Didn't get to watch the game live last night but I just finished the replay. Things got a little ugly there in the 3rd but we managed to pull though. Duncan's passing was outstanding, Parker looked great, LMA started cold but heated up and was really key for us in the second half and Kawhi continued his beastly play on both ends.

Porzingis looked really good, Knicks fans are going to regret booing that pick. He has a ways to go but he's got a ton of talent and he seems to have the right mentality.
