GT: Spurs vs. Trailblazers

Post#1 » by Nolan » Tue Nov 10, 2015 10:56 pm

When: 11/11 - 8:30 PM MT
Where: Moda Center, Portland, OR

This should be a good one, LMA's return to Portland. It's gonna be interesting to see how the crowd reacts.

As for the game itself the key is going to be containing Portland's guards. Lillard and CJ have been lights out so far and if we can't stop them we'll be in trouble.

Go Spurs!!

Any chance of Kahwi guarding Lillard from the get go? Aminu could be argued as a bit of a wasted assignment for your best defender (who is reigning DPOY).

Looking forward to the game, should be a good one either way! Spurs and GSW are the 2 teams I can actually enjoy watching even whilst they destroying my team.

Portland vs San Antonio consistently produces an entertaining game, and with LMA returning the Moda Centre for the first time it has that added significance. Hopefully LMA gets cheered- no hard feelings.

Possibly. Green's probably going to get the assignment and Kawhi's more than likely going to be on rover duty.

I agree. With as guard-heavy as Portland is scoring wise he will probably see both of them for a bit, but I wouldn't be surprised if he guards CJ McCollum mostly.

I'm really looking forward to this game, more than any other so far this year. I think the Blazers are really going to come after us because of the LMA thing. Like you said, no hard feelings but it makes for possibly a nice building rivalry.

Good game overall. Duncan was great early, Parker made some big plays when we needed him, Kawhi was his usual amazing self, LMA started a little slow but really heated up as the game went on and the bench was great as always they gave us a nice change of pace.

The defense was solid for the most part, we let the Blazers get a few too many easy buckets in the paint early on but other than that it was a solid all around team effort.

Lillard and McCollum are a dangerous duo and Portland's going to fine going forward if they're plan is too build around them. Parker and Green really didn't do well against either of them, Kawhi did do a great job on Lillard though.
