So is Kawhi a top 10 player?

His evolution into an all around monster has been amazing to watch this year and there really isn't anything that he can't do out there. His passing, playmaking and ball handling skills have improved drastically, his mid range game is unstoppable and he's just efficient as ****. So far this year he's averaging 22 PPG (11th in the league), 7.8 RPG, 2.4 APG, 1.9 STLPG, 1.4 BLKPG while shooting 52.3% from the field and 49.2% from 3 and he's still playing team and man defense at an extremely high level.

So the question is do you guys think that this version of Kawhi is a top 10 player in the league?

The other guys that I would put in the conversation with him in no particular order are:

1. Curry
2. Lebron
3. Durant
4. Westbrook
5. Davis
6. Griffin
7. George
8. Lillard
9. Harden
10. Drummond
11. Bledsoe
12. Anthony

So what do you guys think?

Yep.

Curry, Lebron, Davis, Durant, Westbrook, Harden (last year), maybe CP3, then Kawhi for me.

I think of your top 10 there, I would take Lillard and Drummond out, and put Leonard and Draymond Green in. I think Drummond is close just because of his monster rebounding numbers.

Agreed. Drummond's been a monster so far this year and if continues to develop he could easily sneak into the top ten.

He is 6th imo and one of my favorite players to watch.

I love that there are some really tremendous 2-way players in the league in Butler, George and Leonard.

I believe many of these top10 lists that circulate around the usual sites are heavily predicated on "past glory". Honestly if you came as someone who does not know the league, and saw Kawhi and Lebron i firmly believe Leonard would make the bigger impression. Same goes for Paul George btw.. Dont just go by numbers but general "value", selfishness (or lack of), usage and so on. Also, what has CP3 done this season that would justify putting him in front of guys like Drummond? Durant #3, based on this season? I dont see it. Its just credit they get because of former seasons and that isnt how it should be.
