Kevin Martin?

I keep reading he is signing with us.
I don't know if I like the idea at all. I haven't watched him for years, but the stats say he average 20pp last year with 40% from 5 3pt attempts per game. Might be handy I guess.
But, maybe it makes sense as to why Butler has suddenly gotten all of Simmons' minutes. Was Pop giving him a chance to show what he could do? Because there is no way in hell we cut Simmons, a (as I said once before) potentially mini Michael Finley in the making.

If we had a free roster spot I wouldn't be against picking him up but at this point i'd rather have Butler and Simmons.

Yeah I hope it's Bonner too.
As I said on this board and in the General Board, if Martin gets minutes and knocks down open threes and gets to the line, he'll be taking away a lot of minutes from Danny Green.
I don't think we'll realise how much we've been playing 4 on 5 until someone does start knocking down shots Green misses or passes up.

i've been shocked by his decline. What is going on with him?
Or is he more of a playoff performer.

So Butler's the one that get's waived. I don't mind it, I fell like Butler's a better fit with our current roster but if Martin's healthy and motivated he could be a solid pickup.

He lost confidence in his shot early in the season and it's taken him some time to get it back. He's been much better over the last couple months and seems to be back to normal now.

I don't know about normal but definitely better.
I hope Martin works out though, would love to have him as an option out there when Green isn't making anything.

Looks like the last 5 he is shooting less than 12% from three.
Edit: Anyway hope he picks it up

It's actually more like 25% (still not great) but his shooting numbers in February and January were much better and he's got his confidence back. He's also still an elite defender.

Danny Green is now 4 of his last 33 three pointers. That is 12%.
