GT: Pistons vs. Spurs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Mon Feb 29, 2016 4:32 pm

When: 6:00 PM MT March 2nd 2016
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio TX

The rodeo road trip is over and we've had a couple days to recover so i'm expecting a solid performance from us on Wednesday.

The Pistons have been on a role lately winning 4 straight games and Tobias Harris has really looked good in a Pistons uniform so far. If we want to win this one we have to keep Drummond off the boards and keep Jackson out of the paint.

Go Spurs!!

Detroit is playing better but they have a lot of bench problems now after the Houston trade fell through. SVG also has to fight with his players to play defense usually every third game or so. They are due for a defensive lapse but even if they play well, there is no excuse for losing this game IMO.

The Pistons have been playing well but the Spurs are the Spurs. I am very excited for this game. If any of you guys are in San Antonio will you see if you can find Pop and maybe suggest sitting Duncan and Parker?? :D

Good luck!

Having Steve Blake out there is like them playing 4 vs 5 offensively. He only shoots if he absolutely has to.

Anyone not watching, I'll sum it up for you. Spurs stupid turnover, Spurs weak fade away jump shot, Spurs lazy turnover, Spurs weak flailing fade away shot that hits nothing, Spurs stupid turnover, Spurs lazy pass turns into turnover or bad fade away shot......etc.

Easy win against a not soo good team. We are still playing sloppy. Good teams will beat us easily playing like we are.... Kwahi and Patty Mills played decent though.

So it evened up with us having Danny Green in a 4vs5 then? ;)

Watching a replay on league pass now, offense looks sloppy.

1st half was sloppy, lots of bad turnovers and poor shots. 2nd half was a different story, we moved the ball well played great defense and took smart shots.

Kawhi and LMA both had outstanding games and Slo-mo and Mills gave us some great minutes off the bench. Old man Miller didn't actually look all that bad in his limited minutes.

Still really like this Pistons teams. Harris looks like a perfect fit for them.

Good call. Harris is exactly what their starting unit needed. Pistons got him for nearly nothing.

Agreed. I think the Pistons have a good future ahead.

I didn't like Jackson as a starting point guard but he's actually pretty good. He has a unique upright style of game that makes his drives unexpected and he is quicker than he looks.

Drummond is worse than Dwight Howard on offense though so we'll see if he can NOT follow in Dwight's footsteps of never adding any post moves.

Harris has a solid all around game too, good call.

And Baynes, the guy is a beast. He has put on even more size and as I think it was Drummond who said it, he sets the best screens in the whole league. His contract might not look so silly in a year or two. (Although I'm glad we didn't pay that much to keep him).
