Reminds me a bit of CoJo actually but Murray is bigger. Overall I like the pick, if he pans out he could be a really really useful player.

I think the is a high risk high reward pick... He could bust but, he has all-star potential. It's not everyday we get a top 10 pick at the #29 spot...With our development guys I expect him to be better than Dunn in 3 years...

Yes, you guys always seem to find gems who slipped late. I wonder if Skal was still there a pick later if you would have considered him. If any place could make him successful, it's SA.

I had the same thoughts on Skal...as the draft kept going on I had my eye on Murray, Skal, and Davis....When it became apparent that one of them would drop to us I was very pleased...any of the 3 would have been great!

Davis would of been solid, Skal I'm just not sure about. Never really been a fan of him.

Skal has a good shot with range and is a good shot blocker. He doesn't bring much else right now because he is so light and his confidence level isn't very high. He's a high risk/reward guy and late in the 1st that's about as good as you can hope for...I would still rather have Murray though...I think his floor is higher and his upside is just as good...

When was the last time a Spurs point guard threw down an alley oop? Antonio Daniels maybe?

Murray is long, athletic, skilled and could follow Kawhi's path of becoming a real star with the Spurs.

I know it's only a few minutes in Summer league but he looks superb.

Intrigued by Murray... he has all the tools to become an all-star caliber play-making, two-way guard... his work ethic and maturity development shouldn't be a problem in the Spurs organization as he comes along. While not a sure thing yet, I'm glad we have some size and athleticism at the guard spot in the mean-time to play around with.

Would love to see Murray one day harassing Curry in the playoffs when Green isn't on him.

Hopefully he develops quickly. Agree he's got the physical tools but he's not a rotation player yet.

Judging by that one game in Utah summer league, he's got no pace to his game yet. He's playing at 110 miles an hour and forcing things. We got down double digits in that first quarter basically because of him. He also needs to get stronger with the ball because he got stripped a few times. Doesn't look like a PG in that game.. He looks more like a SG. Was hoping his length would be an advantage but Rozier raped him.

I don't know what this kid will end up being but I'm liking what I've seen so far. Seems to have all the tools to become a dangerous two player and he seems to have the right attitude as well. His rebounding has really been a pleasant surprise, guards that attack the glass like him are rare.
