Question about Belinelli

Post#1 » by ChokeFasncists » Fri Jun 24, 2016 9:14 pm

Hi guys, just have a question regarding Belinelli. Wondering what happened to him between the first season with the Spurs and the second?

He posted great stats the first and was pretty bad the second. He wasn't very old or anything. Did he get injured or something?

3pt%
1st year Spurs: 43%
2nd year Spurs: 37%
Kings: 30%

Thanks!

Thanks for the honesty.

It was a combination of getting old fast and not playing with Ginobili as much the second year. The two of them had great chemistry and seem to always know exactly where each other were on the floor. For many reasons in season 2 (injuries to both of them...etc) they didn't play nearly as much together and it seemed if Belinelli lost a step or two or three actually.

He can still hit some shots and make some passes but in a very limited role IMO. (15-20 minutes a night at most)

Thx a ton!

So I guess it's the Euro connection.

He was only 27!

Yup those two had instant chemistry.

Belli's a good shooter but his shot selection can be highly questionable and well his defense is well... yeah :(
