GT: Rockets vs. Spurs

When: 7:30 PM MT Nov 9th 2016
Where: AT&T Center, San Antonio TX

This should be an interesting one. We need a big time bounce back performance but the Rockets are going to be a tough team to beat. They can score at will and we're going to have to bring our A game on the defensive end.

Go Spurs!!

My most-hated team not named after lakes; I'm excited for this one and I think we'll get it. I'll be intrigued to see what Pop does with the D, since I'm sure Kawhi will spend ample time on Harden. I wonder if he'll give KL some backcourt looks on O to help the transition spacing.

Go Spurs!

I don't hate them as much as I did when Dwight was there. That said they are still not a likable team.

It's primarily Harden-- aesthetically, he's basketball poison. Until this season, I didn't have anything good to say about him as a player, either, though I must admit to being pretty impressed with his output thus far; we'll see if he can maintain it, but he's a top-three MVP candidate for me so far. I still hate him, though.

Sadly I agree with you. Hate watching him but it's hard to argue against him being an MVP candidate this year. He's been turning the ball over at a crazy rate but the rest of his numbers are just unreal.

D'Antoni has given him the green light to do whatever he wants and it's been working so far.

The Harden Kawhi matchup is going to huge tonight. We have to stop Harden from getting into the paint.

And it sounds like Green will be back for this one.

I really don't understand why Laprovittola is on this team and Murray is in the D-League. Sure maybe Murray isn't ready for a big time role but Laprovittola couldn't defend my mom.

Rockets are really weak at the paint on defense...don't know why we are taking a lot of jumpshots while we have 2 post up bigs plus Kawhi who always is a missmatch at SF...

Totally agree with Laprovittola's defense. I don't think I've seen a worse defender at the guard position.

On offense, he isn't bad but he meanders around a bit aimlessly at times.

Overall our defense has been horrible indeed. We are being carried by Kawhi offensively and without some great play from Lee, that bench lineup we had out there may have been the worst scoring 5 this team has ever put out.

Some trades need to be made

Leonard is exhausted. He missed that put back getting blocked by the rim then didn't even run with the team on that break. Left a lot of shots short.

Yeah, we have gone from a great ball movement team to a hero ball team all of a sudden...

Manu should not be playing. He is done and constantly doing more bad than good. A 40 year old guard, no matter how great his legacy, has no place in this league.

And even with 34 points Leonard showed a lot of inexperience being the go to guy tonight. Missed a lot of easy shots, made bad decisions when doubled and even that missed shot at the buzzer, he could have either gone much stronger or simply straight up because the reply shows him ducking and leaning back to avoid Nene, whereas if he didn't avoid the contact it's a definite foul.

Laprovittola has to go and Murray given his minutes.
Manu has to be the last guy on the bench at best.
Anderson needs to be traded. And if it means the only way to get a decent player back is by trading the guy with the most trade value other than Leonard, (Mills) we should be exploring our options.
Danny Green hit two threes and played good D but yet again looked like a deer in headlights whenever he had to put the ball on the floor or pass.
Pau got benched pretty much after the first quarter because his D was hopeless.
