There are few better methods for getting the taste of a frustrating road loss out of a team's collective mouth than a come-home game against a struggling team-- especially when that team is an in-state rival. Jonathan Simmons will sit with the wrist injury that continues to bother him, but the Mavs will be without Deron Williams-- a net loss for Dallas, since Williams is their top playmaker and #3 scorer on the year. We should walk away from this one.

Sigh, we played stupid. Deserved to lose despite the bad call. Team was brain dead tonight.

We ain't winning **** this year, so we better focus on developing our young guys and stop ******* around trying to pretend we're contenders.

Yes, this is a knee-jerk reaction

LaMarcus Aldridge back to going through the motions. He never moves without the ball. Just stands around. If he's tired, he needs to ask for a night off. It's game like this, where I miss Gasol's offense.

Also, Kyle Anderson has to immediately come out of the game if he refuses to take wide open spot up 3's. He is open, pump fakes and ruins the possession. We get it, you like to pass, but you're hurting the team when you do that ****.

Kawhi turning the ball over a bit of late. In two minds a lot and struggling with doubles.

I guess the positive of (again knee-jerk, worst case scenario) of us getting our butts whipped in the playoffs is that we will likely move Aldridge who simply doesn't deserve the money he is being paid and obviously isn't happy with his role.

And I think Parker saying he wants to play till he is 40 will only limit Murray's growth (and potential to re-sign with us).

Such a double edged sword this team and like I've said after losses this season, we don't seem to be learning from our mistakes. It's fine to say, hey we are the Spurs and we are working towards our goal but this season we are making the same mistakes over and over.

Ah, Mills is such a bad defender and it was the difference tonight imo. Bad reads off screens and just terrible footwork and one on one defense on not even that great or quick players.

I know it's not a popular opinion but with him out there with Manu, the gambling matador, we just get smoked so often.

And has anyone else noticed how (not sure if lazy is the word), um, relaxed on defense Leonard is when his man doesn't have the ball? He is losing his man, looking around like a deer in headlights at times and gambling a bit himself. You've got to just live with Dirk hitting tough shots and not come over and leave someone like Matthews open as well. Still great one on one, but Kawhi's offensive load definitely seems to be impacting his energy and effort on D.

yes

he is definitely suffering from this kobe bryant emulation thing he has going on

and also agree about mills. you just cannot have mills and manu out there at the same time under any circumstances.

Both good points. One reason Patty will never be a starter in the league is because he can't defend (defends poorly). I was all for Leonard being more involved offensively as I think most Spurs fans were, but I think on many nights they are taking it way too far (to the point of ridiculousness) and it is definitely having effect on his defense.

I don't want to start feeling about Kawhi the same way I did about Jordan and Bryant but its happening. Anyone can score 30-40 points when they are allowed to shoot 50 times a night. The player becomes non-efficient and a detriment to the players around him. I'm positive that part of Aldridge's problem is that the offense is too one-dementional.

As Ive said before, I'm not a fan of Aldridge's lackadaisical attitude and laziness sometimes but Ive also focused on only him for a few games this year and there are way too many times where he has decent post position or a mismatch only to see Kawhi or someone else shoot a contested fade away three pointer with three guys guarding them. I have to admit I'd be pretty lackadaisical myself if I was in his position.
