G A M E D A Y: Spurs at Pistons

Post#1 » by -Sammy- » Fri Feb 10, 2017 7:20 am

WHEN: Feb 10, 2017, 6:30PM Central
WHERE: The Palace of Auburn Hills, Deeee-troit, MI
LINE: Spurs -4.5

No major injuries on the dailies for either side (just Bullock for DET), so barring an announcement, this should be full tilt. I love the way Kawhi's been stuffing the stat sheet lately, but the Spurs will be fighting the league's #2 rebounder for boards. Reggie Jackson's numbers are down in his last few games from his season averages, and he only had four points in Detroit's last game (a win over the Lakers). This is a solid opportunity to bring the RRT tally to 2-1.

Not going to see it live this year but at least I can watch locally. Pistons have won a few games lately but against crappy teams. They turn the ball over too much and play horrible defense. They are a three point shooting team that cant make three pointers so we should win this unless we play horrible defense ourselves.

We need to figure out how to get Caldwell-Pope away from them. I think he would be a nice Danny Green replacement.

Dedmon with 10pts 7 rebs in the first quarter. Looking like David Robinson out there.

In the game thread on the Piston forum a guy had never heard of Dedmon. Then another guy said DAMN you just jinked us, he gonna go off tonight now. LOL

Stanley Johnson is their Anderson. Has every opportunity to make a difference and does nothing with it.

We need to take better care of the basketball. Too many dumb turnovers

Dumb turnovers and a bunch of forced shots (Kawhi forced 4 or 5 in that first quarter).

Green hits a three! I almost fell out of my chair!

OMG! Three in a row.

The thing is Detroit is soo bad defensively that I don't want to get too excited about us offensively, even though Dedmon and Green are tearing it up

We can pretty much score whenever we feel like it. No way we lose this unless we totally fall apart on defense.

17pts 17reb for Dedmon. Good game. Will give Pop something to think about when Pau is back.

I know Kawhi scored 32pts tonight but I really didn't like his game. He looked quite selfish out there at times and those two long threes he missed were horrible shots.

Aldridge was ok but again he struggles on the drive, has very few moves down low and only ever looks comfortable with pick and pop shots.

I've been saying it in the general board for a couple years now but Drummond will never be up there with the best players simply because his offensive game is almost as bad as it gets. He throws up ugly shots all game long and can't do anything but score on dunks. It's hard to see what the goal is in Detroit with the team they have put together.

Probably Dedmon's best game as a pro. You could see the game plan was to attack the paint with the pass and Tony executed it to perfection.

Loved his game

Played pick and rolls and pick and pops to the perfection. Re-signing Dedmon next season is absolutely mandatory. He is a very good player.
Shaq on Duncan:SA won because of TD, a guy I could never break.I could talk trash to Ewing, get in D-Rob's face, get a rise out of Mourning, but when I went at Tim he’d look at me like he was bored and say:“Hey,Shaq, watch this shot right off the glass.”
