GT: Spurs vs. Pelicans

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Mar 3, 2017 1:53 pm

When: 7:30 PM MT, Mar 3rd 2017
Where: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans LA

This will our first look at the new Boogie AD front court. So obviously the key to this one is going to be winning the battle in the paint, we need big games from all of our bigs but especially from LMA. He's got to make life difficult for AD on both ends!

Go Spurs!!

One thing about Cousins is he is a good player but he doesn't seem to do anything for the team around him. I've watched a bit of the Pelicans the last couple games and the team doesn't seem to be any better at all with him there than they were before other than balancing out their scoring a tiny bit.
Its a small sample size though so here's hoping they dont figure it out quite yet against us. I think the pairings of Dedmon-LMA and Gasol-Lee will give them trouble

Yikes this Spurs lineup is looking as bad as we've ever looked in the 2nd. Simmons with a comedy of errors, Parker struggling, Danny Green being Danny Green...

Good end to the half though. Leonard has been great and Aldridge probably our next best sadly.

Twin Towers as the commentators are saying are just playing, 'your turn, my turn' at the moment. Who knows if it'll ever work but they are pretty tough either way.

Let them hang around with bad shots and lazy turnovers and now they are engaged. Going to be a tough finish.

Such a sloppy game by us. Missed FTs, bad shots, TOs...etc. We should have won by 10+ Now its OT or a loss.

Pelicans gift wrapped that game to us. We lose that game 10 out of 10 times against any team with a pulse.

Cant say enough how bad the lazy turnovers, missed FTs and horrible shot selection should have cost us that game.

LMA played well untill the missed FTs at the end.
Kawhi was Kawhi although he took a few bad shots
Simmons should have stayed in bed today.
Mills was sloppy but bailed us out in OT
Parker is hurt and needs to be shut down for a week at least IMO
We pass up way too many easy shots and then settle for contested fade aways, it drives me insane.

kawhi beasts in the 1st half for 20easy pts

then 2nd half he settled for stupid jumpshots...he stop going down low to get the production he got in t he 1st half....

danny green continue to do what he does best, put the ball onto the floor when his open for a free shot leading into a brick shot...

Return to San Antonio Spurs
