Alternate Starting PG options

Ok, this thread is based on some assumptions:
1) TP isn't coming back enough this upcoming season to take back the starting point spot (and he will be a FA in 2018).
2) Murray is not assessed as good enough to take the reigns (as starting PG).
3) Mills is a) not good enough to be starting PG, and b) is getting more than we are willing to pay for him this offseason.
4) We cannot entice one of the major FA PG's (Curry, CP3, Hill, Lowry ), likely due to not enough cap space available.
If you don't like those assumptions, start your own thread...
What is your suggestion for a PG target, either by trade, or by FA (given assumption 4 above).
I would explore a trade for Ricky Rubio. IMO He's quite good value for his 2yrs/~$28 Million remaining. He should be available (there have been rumours of him being shopped for the last 18 months - particularly for Derrick Rose...)
