http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap/246412/LaMarcus-Aldridge-Wants-Trade-From-SpursAccording to Stephen A. Smith, LaMarcus Aldridge is "very, very unhappy in San Antonio right now. He feels the Spurs have compromised him, his productivity. They have hurt his game. As a result, he wants out and he wants out in the worst way. He wants to be gone."
The San Antonio Spurs are looking to trade Aldridge ahead of the draft and have reportedly had conversations with teams drafting in the top-10.
The source is Stephen A so take it for what it's worth.
If we can get a top 10 pick for him I'm all for it. Get another young player to pair with Kawhi and Murray and clear some cap space.

Well the cats out of the bag and there is no turning back now. Once rumors came out that we were looking to trade him, it didnt take long for him to let it be known he wants out.
I would still take Detroit's 12th pick for him. At this point anything besides a disgruntled Aldridge is an improvement.

I had a dream last night that the Kings gave us 5 and 10 for him
I'd take 12 and whatever else from Detroit actually. If Portland really does want him back they could also be an interesting trading partner. They've got pieces and picks.

I'd be all for anything but Portland needs to dump salary more than anything so taking him back would be tough unless it was for multiple players.

I would guess we would have to eat one of Turner or Crabbe or possibly move one of them to a 3rd team.

There is Phoenix but there is really nothing on that team I would want in return besides their pick at 4.
Detroit, I might take a flier on Drummond for Aldridge straight up if Detroit eats the difference in their contracts. Or give me a one year rental on Caldwell-Pope and see if it works. We only have one year of LMA anyway.
Like I said, anything other than keeping Aldridge at this point is going to be an improvement. With this situation playing out like this, I think its unrealistic to think we can contend next year so making a move that helps us in 2-3 years is going to be more important.

Richard Jefferson 2.0, in terms of expectations vs. reality. Happy trails, LaMarcus.
I think #12 is a little low, but the cap-room liberation makes it worthwhile. The sweetest deal, in my opinion, would still be to somehow turn LMA and Tony into Milsap and CP, but that would take some real black magic, even for our wizards.

The T-Wolves are another interesting candidate. Thibs seems to want to win now and they need another big. Dieng and 7?

If I'm the Spurs I do this in a heartbeat. Danny Green and LA both tend to disappear. Love is a better rebounder and can shoot the three. He's also a player who will buy into the system and won't complain about a reduced role.
The Cavs defense will be even worse with LA. It's almost like they didn't learn from Channing Frye.

Would you be interested in a sign and trade, Millsap for LMA?
It's a lateral move for both teams.
Spurs get an all star PF with elite defense they can pair up with Kawhi
Coach Budz get to get an all star PF instead of walking away with nothing

LA's actually a pretty decent defender, stats show it. As for Green people need to realize that he's a role player not a go to guy, his good is to play defense (which he is very very very good at) and knock down the occasional three.
Honestly the Cav's have nothing I'm interesting in other than Irving and that's not happening.

I'd do it. Millsap a perfect fit here.

I have no idea what that deal would be centered around.

It seems too perfect to happen. It solves both teams' problems, and Millsap already knows how to play Spurs ball from Coach Budz.

The Hawks are going to be focused on developing their young talent going forward, will need 'good veterans' with the transition. LMA is too high maintenance and about himself and his stats, so I would pass. Re-route him to another team.

LMA lack of a post game, his offence is one dimension, heavily rely on his jump sahot, but he never been a Dirk's level shooter
Boogie is the ans,he hv dominant big potential

spurs asking price is high, but what does cavs can bring to the table besides a bunch of overpaid scrubs who gmlebron overpaid to keep that pathetic roster....
there are better proposals out there, i wouldnt mind getting porzingas and absorbing melos contract.... switch kawhi to sg or have melo play pf during intervals of the game in his favor to exploit... i believe he also trains with kawhi in the summer..i say why not?
purpose now is to continue build around kawhi and keep him happy that the spurs are doing something building a contender around him, or he going to take his services to another team...

I hope the Spurs get a solid deal this week coming up...get LA out of there. Hes unhappy but he has no one but to blame but his self for his lack of performance, and not shining in the spotlight, and shined away from it. I can see Melo being a good fit.
