The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to sign Matt Costello to a two-way contract.
Costello averaged 8.6 points, 8.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists in 23.2 minutes per game in Summer League. Costello also had a PER of 24.9.
Costello went undrafted in 2016 out of Michigan State.
he's 23 and a former teammate of Bryn Forbes. I watched a decent amount of him in the summer league and I actually liked what I saw. He's definitely not a great athlete but he'll surprise you at times, very much like Baynes in that sense. Looks lethargic then just explodes. He's a terrific rebounder as well, his jumper is coming along nicely and he seems to understand the game at a high level.
Overall I really like this kid, could be a decent role player.
