I kind of have the same expectations for him this year as I do for Rudy Gay. Whatever he gives us is just gravy and makes us a deeper team. But I am excited to see him again.

Ive heard he has taken this opportunity to get in great shape so we will see what happens.

It's so strange that he's coming back before Kawhi.

The PG rotation is going to be crowded now but that should make easing him into the rotation a whole lot easier. The biggest question for me is does he start?

We really need his scoring going to the basket, but I doubt he can give us much of that right away. I'm sure he will be eased in slowly.
I think it will be similar to Gay's minutes. Ease them both along and get them in the best shape possible for the playoffs. No need to give them a ton of minutes this time of year.

"No, it was just a lot of emotion, but almost, almost," Parker said when asked if he shed a tear. "I'm always amazed by all the love from Spurs fans. It's hard to describe the feeling, but I was just very excited and just wanted to thank everybody for all the support. The city of San Antonio has been amazing, all the fans, the Spurs organization. It was just a great journey, just a great game tonight."

"Personally, I was pleased to see him," Messina said. "I think he did one big thing: He really poised the team at the beginning of the second half, not only because he scored, had a couple of jumpers and a couple of assists. But he really calmed down the team and had them executing on both ends of the floor."

Parker played a total of 14 minutes. Before the game, he figured he'd be "lucky" if Popovich let him play five minutes. Parker said the plan moving forward over the next few games is for him to play somewhere in the neighborhood of 15 minutes each contest.

Tony looked trim and had good lift and bounce in his legs when shooting Js, and he made some patented moves down low that required sharp cuts. Fourteen minutes, 3-7 shooting, six points, four assists, no TOs. Solid.

He looked pretty damn good the other night. Hopefully we keep easing him in, we do have two other quality PG's that have done a good job of holding down the fort while he was out.
