It's an upgrade over our other camo jersey but I'm a little disappointed they didn't go the fiesta route with this one. All in all its not terrible like some of the others that have been released today but it's still a miss.

It's just a puzzling choice for the 'city' theme. Seems like someone got confused and put these out thinking it was in honour of Army/Navy/Marines.

Meh, it's better than the other camo jersey like Nolan said. At least its silver and black. I'm not sure about fiesta either. I would like something with the words "San Antonio" though.
Something where the real city name is there, not something lazy like Cleveland's "The Land" jersey. Stupidest thing I've ever seen.

Someone on reddit made this concept fiesta jersey and it's pretty badass.

Uuugh wish I'd read up before typing: it
is a tribute to servicemen and servicewomen. Clearly. And most deserving.
The San Antonio Spurs unveiled today the Nike City Edition uniforms that will be worn by the Silver and Black in 2018. The camouflage-patterned jersey tops and shorts were modeled after the U.S. Army Combat Uniform and honor the servicemen and servicewomen of the U.S. Armed Forces, many of whom have spent time in Military City USA during their care
The Spurs will debut the Nike City Edition uniforms when they host the Philadelphia 76ers during a USAA Salute Night on Friday, Jan. 26 at the AT&T Center. All active duty military personnel and veterans receive up to 40 percent off of Salute Night Tickets with a Military I.D. For more information on Spurs Salute Nights and to purchase tickets, go to Spurs.com/Salute.

I do like the fiesta alternates that Nolan posted. Love the font. Seems like they would be something both men and women could wear (I know that's not the point of the new camos, but just a comment in terms of the broader appeal of special jerseys).

We already do have nights dedicated to the military though and we already have a camo jersey that we use for those games. I do agree that it's important to honor them but we can do both. San Antonio is the Alamo City after all and the team has a massive Hispanic fan base.

just get the old fiesta stripe warm up jackets design, everyone wants this - not sure why nike don't/can't use that design?

From the sounds of it the team has/had a big say in the design as well. So Nike doesn't deserve all of the blame.

I just wanted to acknowledge taking a step back from being flippant about the camo uni, but I agree, that explanation, sound as it is, leaves fans wanting. It excludes a far broader and diverse culture that makes up 'the city'. Why they chose to focus on one aspect of it when there's a natural tie-in with dedicated military nights already and ignored so many strands that have woven to shape the history of the area is puzzling.
