Welcome home to the good guys! After a rodeo road trip that was truncated in number of games but that felt like five months, we get three at AT&T; we're going to need that home-cooking, too, as the Pelicans are streaking with six straight wins and are making traction in the conferences standings-- back only a game and a half from fourth-place us. Obviously, not seeing DeMarcus Cousins lining up across from us is nice, but we're likely without Pau tonight (left knee), so there are several matchup x-factors to watch.

Hearing that Kawhi is back in the 210 and working toward a March return is great news; here's hoping the recent rumors and media speculation was all sound and fury.

Patty still in the starting line-up instead of Danny. This has actually been a nice spark for us in the starting line-up and great balance on D and O for us with Danny coming off the bench.

Davis starting in for Pau. Hopefully Davis watching the last game from the bench has given him extra energy and incentive.

Nice to see Kawhi on the bench with the team.

Get better, Pau!

No Pau, no LMA, no Pop, yet we were leading until a string of costly mental mistakes late did us in. There will be lots to go over for next game, though I don't know how you practice settling nerves in key situations - passing to where the player is, not should be (reacting to the moment), inbounds plays, setting up plays rather than not resisting the temptation to barrel in (reward ourselves for good defensive plays). This one stings because it was so winnable; it was on us how we let it get away, it's on us to get going again.

GO SPURS GO!

Pop with the positive post-game message:

It's easy to feel gutted after this game, so it's a smart message of support to keep us together and battling. It's an honest message, too, and offers a different perspective than my reactionary post-game one. That's good leadership by Pop, choosing the right notes at the right time to stand by our players and keep them connected. We're in it together, no matter what.

GO SPURS GO!
