Dear Spurs - let's again protect home court with all we've got. The good thing is there's room for improvement, namely bench support, making our 3s at a far better rate, closing out and preventing 3s, and better ball movement for good to great shots. Continuing our good rebounding and ball protection, scoring in the paint, and communicating well on defense with all out hustle for the whole game balances out the plan. Finally, we must be wise to the games within the game and stay above the fray to focus on best executing our system. All for one purpose, together.

Well, this is over...

Gutted. This one hurt.

I still have some hope, but Pop's going to have to figure out how to get this one out of the team's collective head fast.

I have beer. I am drinking it. And eating apple pie. Not good, right? Kind of like not driving and settling for outside shots when we're not shooting well - looking at you, Spurs bench - and not contesting the 3 nearly enough. Just not nearly enough intensity after the first quarter. Lots went wrong, and it's a comprehensive and cumulative series of plays, but if there's a central issue or at least one that stands out most now, it's that our bench is woefully underperforming. We're nowhere near our averages from 3 and from bench points and these put a lot of extra pressure on our starters.

Also, I hate missed bunnies. So much. And we had so many tonight - on putbacks, on layups, on baby J's, on floaters. Just put the ball back with two hands hard and sure. Put the fun into fundamentals.

Still, it's now 2-2. How we respond now is key. We've done well after poor performances, so I'm looking for us to regroup and put together a much better game.
