The new season will soon be here, and leading up to it are the Media Day, Training Camp, and Pre-Season games that get our guys ready.

Media Day is Monday, September 30, 2019:

The 2019 Silver & Black Open Scrimmage is also set - Thursday, October 10, 2019, 7pm:

The Spurs will hold their annual Silver & Black Open Scrimmage at 7 p.m. Oct. 10, the club announced Tuesday.

The free event features an intra-squad scrimmage in preparation for the season opener against the New York Knicks on Oct. 23.

The doors to the AT&T Center will open at 6:15 p.m. and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.

Draft beer and sodas for $1 will be served at select locations in the arena.

In addition, the Spurs Fan Shop will have a 25 percent off sale during the event. There will also be a "yard sale" following the scrimmage to benefit the official nonprofit of the Spurs, Silver & Black Give Back.

Farrell went undrafted in 2018 out of Notre Dame. The 6’1″ guard played in 45 G-League games last season with the Delaware Blue Coats, where he averaged 10.7 points and 6.2 assists per game. Farrell attempted 5.4 threes per game last season and made 35% of those attempts.

As Smith notes, if Farrell is waived, the Spurs would be able to add him to the Austin Spurs in the G-League along with Ledbetter. The team already has 15 guaranteed contracts entering training camp October 1.

In a rare break from the characteristic silence on these types of matters, Pop said Davis was great here and showed continued growth, and Pop hated losing him, and especially in that way (words to that effect). Basically confirmed that Morris lied when he said he explained himself to Pop / Spurs. Pop said Morris did not really communicate his reasons for reneging on the commitment made to the Spurs ooof. Good. It's true.

Any of you gents know if your local sports channel will have the game on Saturday? Or if not do they typically do a Jumbotron feed in the arena? I know a few teams still don’t.

Hey, all I've seen so far are radio broadcasts, but we'll post it here if/when there's word of it. They were televised in the past, and at least some of them were on the Jumbotron (more likely the away games).

I wonder what Trey 'Green Goblin's two-hour practices suck' Lyles thought of his first Spurs practice, karmically also two hours long? I'm just kidding. From all accounts he's been putting in the work this summer. It was just the first thing I thought of when I heard the practice length.
