First and foremost, we're going to have a season! YES!!! Stay safe, play hard, play together, enjoy it, and have a great season, Spurs!
The 2020-21 season will begin on Tuesday, December 22;
The 2020-21 season will feature each team playing a 72-game schedule. The full regular-season and broadcast schedules will be released at a future date
As for the financials:
A new system will be used to ensure the parties’ agreed-upon split of basketball-related income (BRI). In the event player compensation were to exceed the players’ designated share in any season, necessary salary reductions beyond the standard 10 percent escrow would be spread across that season and potentially the following two seasons, subject to a maximum salary reduction in any season of 20 percent
For the 2020-21 season, the Salary Cap will be $109.140 million and the Tax Level will be $132.627 million. In subsequent seasons of the CBA, the Salary Cap and Tax Level will increase by a minimum of three percent and a maximum of 10 percent over the prior season. Teams’ Tax payments will be reduced in proportion to any BRI decreases

Posted about these in the previous season's news thread, but it bears repeating as we pick up here where we left off. First:
So this may be the end of the begrudgingly beloved Rodeo Road Trip, builder of character, tester of chemistry, and most recently, an abettor to losing streaks.
This will hopefully level the playing field.

Next, we will have Fiesta City Edition jerseys this season:
And a matching court alternate!

Ok, so I was looking at ticketmaster.com and the Stock Show & Rodeo Fairgrounds Admission for Feb.11 - Feb.28, 2021 has indeed been canceled at the AT&T Center. As posted earlier, the event has been moved to another venue.
However, on those same dates there are now tickets for sale at the AT&T Center for something called 2021 San Antonio Rodeo Carnival - 1 Day Unlimited Rides Wristband.
Not sure what this new event is, if it's new, or if TickerMaster has yet to be updated, but I still really hope we can have a RRT-less schedule for the first time since 2002.

I'm upset I didn't get a chance to see Timmy live on the bench this season, but that's how it goes. He stepped up for Pop and the Spurs and for that I'm grateful. I'm sure he'll be around as he always is.

Hmm. I wonder what happened here. Lonnie's previous agent was super supportive of him. I suppose signing with a prominent agent gives him some leverage - Klutch clients' contracts are structured so that they get the full year's amount before the entire season ends. I hope he doesn't think this somehow gives him leverage with court time - that's earned as always.
But we seem to have a good working relationship with Klutch.
I do feel that Klutch owes us after the MM debacle as their client backed out on their watch, so hopefully some friendly facilitating that benefit us can be made.

I really wish the leak hadn't happened all the more so now, but this still makes me giddy with anticipation!
The thing is, based on what Sean is saying, looks like there may be new jerseys for this upcoming season, and that's in addition to new City Edition jerseys! (or Sean is referring to the City ones... time will tell!)
EDIT to add:
Oh. Yeah.

Happy for both. We're not wasting any time filling in Timmy's role on the bench (something we were prepared for), and I like that we went with internal growth both in Austin and with the Spurs.

This is exciting. We just have to sit back and relax. Watch the young guys in this second asterisk season. Then 2021/22 is gonna be fun if we dont screw it up.

The first half of our schedule is out and it's challenging right from the start:
To a man, the guys sound confident and on a mission and both will be tested early.
We have no national TV games in the first half. Not a surprise. We will have five NBA TV games per Tom Orsborn.
What I AM
thrilled about is that starting Jan. 1, the AT&T Center will allow a limited number of fans to watch the games!
