Post#1 » by G R E Y » Mon Apr 12, 2021 7:17 pm

We travel east for the SEGABABA fresh off a quality six quarters of play that have finally garnered good results. Continuing momentum is key tonight to keep us headed in the right direction: commitment to and effort on defense, transition play, ball protection, and personal responsibility to the team. Oh and let's make some more 3s!

WHERE: Amway Center, Orlando, FL

A most excellent start. Lonnie the super spark plug got us going, and on the back of his revved up play the team got energized and has been in high gear on both ends. Great switches and rotations, great help D - Derrick has taken two charges! - great blocks - 4 - and solid rebounding - 30-24.

We left a couple of their shots far too wide open as we got caught on missed rotations, but got lucky that they've been so cold on O. Still, we had something to do with it as well.

On O, we scored 60 with only two players in double figures. Almost everyone who has played has scored, and it is this multi-pronged threat that is our best ball.

Let's stay hungry and focused. Don't take the opponent lightly, keep pushing and imposing our game on both ends.

Go Spurs go!!!

We got a little comfortable and settled for one and done shots, some contested (looking at you, Rudy) so we just need to keep our foot on the pedal, stay focused, and execute our plays while running the clock more.

Proud of our response tonight. We won versus a team we should beat if we are going to hit our goals. We didn't take our opponent lightly, and all units pressed hard and played well. Very solid complete team win - everyone who played scored, and for the most part we played our game, from D out to transition O. Great SEGABABA win!
