The first of four in a row and eight of nine games on the road, we are in a dog fight tonight versus a team chasing us as we are chasing others ahead. A full effort and meaningful, positive contributions by ever Spur who gets court time - and playing with heart and hustle together - is the only way we get the good result.

WHERE: Smoothie King Center, New Orleans, LA

WHEN: Saturday, April 24,2021, 7pm (CT)

I like to think Rudy is out with ISO-itis, but that's mean. He needs to get his legs under him and some rest will do that. Hopefully he gets his efficiency and expanded vision to see others are open once he gets some rest:

Luka on defense is actually a solid option. Devin on both ends, too, but he has to get his efficiency up. May Dieng get some minutes today, too. I like his defense and inside-out stretch-the-floor O.

Our first 30+ point Q. Solid start. I like our defense with 5 steals and 2 blocks. Love our transition game and quick decisions with the ball. Like our pace and 8 3s attempted.

Just protect the ball, and drive harder at them, Spurs!

We're getting the open lanes we want but are fumbling it with overpenetrations on drives. Lonnie HAS the layup! TAKE IT! DUNK IT! Get to the FT line!

A solid start indeed, though we have some improvements to make - take care of the ball, protect it better; drive drive drive hard at them to get to the FT line and get them into foul trouble; make the most of every scoring chance.

I didn't like the DJ ISO fadeaway attempts, so hopefully he and we look to keep passing. Make sure to penetrate their zone D. Set a guy up at the elbow and keep moving off ball rather than left to right at the arc wasting time.

Derrick will need to work on his handles in the off-season. For now, he needs to make sure he doesn't get himself into tight spaces with the ball.

Lonnie and the dishes need to be sure rather than erratic. Every game there's one aspect of his game that's just way off. Finishing well at the rim today is great.

WOW did Pop ever blow a gasket at Luka for that reach in foul! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSHHHHH!

Luka then made up for it with that assertive dunk and made FT.

Good adjustments by us so far. We need to push our transition game, play clean D, and finish our our opportunities.

Hot mess of a 3RD Q on O by us. We did a great job getting to the FT line, but we look like we're afraid to shoot because we're afraid to miss. FAR too tentative. We need to just let loose and continue to defend cleanly and make our good to great shots.
