The first team we play is on a hot streak so we will have to be at our sharpest: fast-reacting team D, decisive transition play, fundamentals in ball protection, passing, and finishing at the rim. Throughout them all, all heart and hustle and poise. Let's get after it!

Back pain is no joke. Rudy was at the shootaround, so hopefully he'll be back soon. The perspective of the game we want to play as a whole and some rest can only do him and us good in the long run.

Finally got a chance to start watching half way through the 1ST Q. Derrick needs more touches, DJ's shooting well.

ABSOLUTELY BRUTAL P&R defense by DD and Drew to end the Q there.

Rudy and Lonnie come in at the same time but the ball stopped with Rudy each time: Rudy 1-3, Lonnie 0-0. ISO Rudy came to play - and he's cold so he should try driving...

GET DEFENSIVE STOPS, SPURS!!!

ATTENTION: Rudy passed the ball. Rudy. Passed. The. Ball. And DJ got the floater. Solid.

Their pace is bothering us. We keep getting beat by the first step for their quick layups as three Spurs are at the rim on the weak side. Help D needs to read that and rotate over faster. Our zone D was pretty successful in throttling lanes.

After a slow 1-4 start, DeMar went to work scoring and distributing. Solid. I went at Rudy but he's actually now leading the bench in scoring. Just wish he wouldn't settle for outside shots and mix it up with drives.

On the whole as a team we're getting to the line well enough, but it's more with craftiness, rather than aggressiveness. I'd like to see us increase our physicality and intensity. To that end, more touches for Keldon would be great.

Lonnie hasn't scored - hopefully he gets his touch back in the second half - but his D has been solid in staying in front of the driver, closing up the lane and contesting well for their missed shot.

We're going to need Patty to find his consistency.

We need to get clean stops on D, and turn up our drives and physicality on O. Stay focused and hungry, Spurs!

Derrick just can't catch an injury-free streak, man... My heart is in my throat. Keeping my fingers crossed...

I liked our fight to come back from a 7-point deficit and tie it up to end the Q.

I liked our D to get stops towards the end of the Q as well. Need more of those.

We NEED to take it HARD to the basket - Jakob should NEVER be blocked at the rim.

Get stops, make all our shots, Spurs!
