MGM RESORTS NBA SUMMER LEAGUE: August 8-17, Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion, Las Vegas, Nevada - 30 NBA teams

Spurs will participate in the Salt Lake City Summer League on August 3, 4, and 6 along with the Memphis Grizzlies and Utah Jazz which will field two teams in a round-robbin format.

Utah Jazz to Host Salt Lake City Summer League

The Utah Jazz announced the return of NBA summer league basketball in Utah with the four-team, six-game Salt Lake City Summer League presented by University of Utah Health, Utah Sports Commission and Western Governors University on Aug. 3, 4 and 6 at Vivint Arena....

Each team will play three games as part of daily doubleheaders on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. (MT). Tickets can be purchased online at www.utahjazz.com or through the Utah Jazz mobile app.

The schedule of games, radio/TV broadcast details and team rosters will be announced at a later date.

The Salt Lake City Summer League showcases rookies selected in the 2021 NBA Draft competing in their first NBA games, sophomores, select free agents and athletes competing to make NBA and G League regular season rosters.

MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021 returns to Las Vegas in August
The 16th annual MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will take place Aug. 8-17.

The 16th annual MGM Resorts NBA Summer League will feature all 30 NBA teams playing five games apiece during the 10-day, 75-game event. After every team plays four games, the two teams with the best records from the first four games will meet in the Championship Game on Aug. 17.

Thomas & Mack Center and COX Pavilion will host either seven or eight games per day during the 10-day competition.

Fans can visit NBAEvents.com to sign up for the latest information on MGM Resorts NBA Summer League 2021. Tickets for the event will go on sale June 23 and the complete game and broadcast schedules will be announced at a later date.

Austin Spur Anthony Mathis will join our SL roster (sounds like only for the Las Vegas dates):

Mathis played 15 games for Austin last season recording 13.0 points per game and 41.7% shooting. He also posted 38% 3-point shooting and 3.3 rebounds and 1.2 assists.

Mathis was drafted by Austin in the 2021 G League Draft after playing as a redshirt senior for Oregon where he ranked second in the Pac-12 in 3-point field goal percentage at 45%.

Vegas schedule update:

In a pre-draft interview, RC talked about SL and how players were arriving 'tonight' (yesterday) and practice 'tomorrow' (today). Later in a post-draft interview, Brian Wright said that Joshua and Joe would perhaps miss the first SL practice, but they are scheduled to be on the team.

I'd forgotten about Luka's hand injury. Unfortunate as I think he would benefit from the SL experience with the new guys, but hopefully he comes back and surprises well on O nonetheless:

Weird that Spurs are supposedly holding Luka out of SL out of an abundance of caution yet he played on the Croatian team already:
