Back to earth, took an L, lessons imparted, work to do:

Slow start, good comeback, but we kept getting in our own way when we got close. Some more reps in our system, along with more consistent intensity will help, as will playing in transition more.

Through the various line-ups we've been trying and different styles of play we've been practicing in games, this in an important trend in the right direction:


Last season we were 70/30 in 2s/3s taken which was by far the largest numbers of 2s taken.And again, we were 24th in efficiency, so, holy moly did both the shot distribution and proficiency need alterations.

That we're making a concerted effort to make this shift and that the change in shot distribution is already so different is a solid positive. The efficiency will hopefully follow with more reps.

We're two line-ups deep with a lot of variety and pluggable players. Working on versatility with more reps. We built a lead on more assertive play pushing the ball, quicker shots, great movement, and solid communication and effort on D. We got outbodied down lot a bit, something to work on, and some players have yet to find their scoring touch, but a solid team effort. The big lead allowed some newer, less acclimated players to get good practice time in pressure situations.
