Right, when this was first news I thought, just don't go there, as it's yet another public résumé / look, Spurs, I'm really walking towards that door, ok?! And I thought, ****, just **** go already. It's been a weird ride with all the interviews done about her coaching ability. Never seen anything like it from any assistant coaches, even with her being the first female assistant coach in the NBA. That's not a shut up and coach thing, it just got distasteful how the Spurs kept being put on notice, especially after her interview with persona non grata Jabari Young - this will never not be a weird choice, and a turning point.

And here we are:

At least she parlayed that into the highest WNBA deal. But yeah, Spurs aren't going to cave into a media campaign. She did what was best for her when it's been made clear Spurs will do what's best for the franchise long-term.

I'm really surprised she has been here this long to be honest.
I like her a lot but the whole "rumor has it this organization in interested in making her the first woman to do this and that" stuff has become tiresome.
It's not her fault. The media just likes to grab on to whatever narrative they want to push and ram it down our throats constantly.

Yeah the rumours about first this or that or whichever other ones were media driven were just that, but she definitely pushed her own narrative and it was becoming uncomfortable how the unspoken messages across the bow towards the Spurs had become. Just weird. Glad it's all over.

Great. The other team couldn't field enough players means we're the ones stuck with an extra back-to-back.

On top of solidifying the ownership group, we're expanding our ad reach to areas that have five million Spurs fans per article below. Smart partnership, feels like a natural next step in fan growth.

The San Antonio Spurs said Friday it has sponsorship deal with low-cost Mexican airline Viva Aerobus, part of the team’s strategy to expand its fan base in Mexico.

Viva operates routes from San Antonio International Airport to Mexico City, Monterrey and León. An Airbus A320 plane wrapped with the Spurs’ logo and colors will begin flying this spring.

Viva’s logo will be on Spurs ads and signage at the AT&T Center during the team’s home games starting this season, and the carrier also will be mentioned in Spanish-language radio promotions.

“We really tried to define some specific initiatives and building our Mexican fan base and growing on the culture that we share,” said R.C. Buford, CEO of Spurs Sports & Entertainment.

San Antonio is a popular destination for Mexican travelers vacationing and visiting friends and family, as well as attending Spurs games, said Juan Carlos Zuazua, Viva CEO.

“We are committed to continue developing this connectivity in San Antonio,” he said.

Not only did we match last season's wins and playin achievement, we also secured our THIRD 1st round pick tonight:

For Thad Young!

Props to PATFO for sticking to their guns with what they wanted in this deal, which came from the S&T for DD which will finish out that initial trade, which now is two great starters and now three additional picks (one 1st, two 2nds) after stabilizing the franchise and tying the record for all-time consecutive playoff appearances.

HUGE. PROPS.

The spots for two of our three first round picks are in:

Read on Twitter

The 20th is for Thad Young lol

The 25th is for the Derrick trade, which if I recall also has a pick swap feature in the future.

Lottery is May 17th when we'll find our where exactly our own first rounder lands. And not that I wished for losses, we do our best each game and live with the results, the results meant that we secured the ninth best position which not only has the highest chance of being realized, should we slip it'll be to 11th at worst, and secured better chances at moving up to top four.
