2ND Q: SPURS 47
BUCKS 49
Well it's our pattern so far this season - we can't seem to get enough guys going on O, and despite that, we keep on settling for outside shots too much. We were 1-9 from 3 this Q. You take the shot that's open, and I don't even mind a 3 in transition now and again, but we settled for a lot of outisde, one-and-done shots too much.
Thad and Tre were immediate O changers for us.
I don't expect Lonnie and Devin to be shooting 6)% efficiency every game, but I wish they would alternate such a high efficiency with 1-10 at the half and 1-6 from 3. Just strange. As is DJ front rimming just about everything. White stepped up huge in the 1ST Q but cooled off since.
Keldon's so much a rhythm and timing player. When he's on he makes these weird crafty drives and finishes well off the glass; when he's off, it looks awkward. He got into the key a couple of times and instead of recognizing he's up against a wall of taller players and stopping and passing out, he tried another one of those strange floater attempts that missed.
Drew is once again getting driven by badly and not scoring. Thad has looked good on D and in passing from the top of the arc as well as finishing inside, so it's nice to see him getting minutes. Smart player. Diop is crazy long and made a nice drive inside. Productive.
Jakob is only 1-2. We have a size advantage but keep settling for outside shots. Underused weapon for us.
If we can focus on not settling for being a perimeter team and move to get the ball inside and move the ball more to creat good to great chances at the rim, we'll fare better. We simply have to reward ourselves for the overall great D with some hot-streak made shots in the second half for a positive result.
