The SEGABABA after a close heartbreaker is always interesting in terms of response. Will we be crestfallen and go through the motions or roar from the start, smarting and wanting to turn the tide all the more? In this final of the seven-game road trip, here's hoping we come out blazing, return the favour for the last game, and leave everything we have to set the right tone before coming home.

Not ideal. Hopefully Jock can make a game of it, and Primo is ready to go. We need every body we have:

Well, less than not ideal...

... but at least Primo is good to go. We need all the help we can get. Hopefully Cacok steps up again.

Under three minutes into the game, Pop timeout.

We're making bad passes for two TOs, and giving up second chance points, twice now, for putbacks.

We're tired, they're bigger, and yet Pop demands the same excellence. **** GOAT.

Great job by Tyler to step up to take the charge.

DJ making bad passes at least three times now despite playing well overall. The one handed in air ones will make the top of the film session lol

Scrappy and physical so far. Lots of missed chances, but we're getting almost anything we want.

Bryn is being prevented form getting space well, so the scouting book's obviously out on him, but luckily not on all our guys.

Bryn not getting his hands up to contest when his player is on his hip will never not be mystifying to me.

Primo makes one shot after floating around for 8 minutes doing almost nothing and they talk about him for 10 minutes like he's Magic Johnson...... :banghead:

It was a set shot corner three that 90% of the league can make.....

I like how Walker plays more engaged when he thinks he is the man. Did you see how high he got contesting that final shot of the quarter?

1ST Q: SPURS 26

KNICKS 23

Even enough Q with some missed chances by us, but we're generating good shots, if at a slower pace than them. Understandable that we're more methodical and opportunistic given it's a SEGABABA.

I like the cohesion and tenacity we're showing, and the variety of scoring that's coming from it.

We're gotten clobbered a couple of times under their basket and no calls.

We're getting badly outrebounded especially on O 5-1 . We're getting to the FT line well and making them4-5FTs, but we have to be better at rotating out for their 3s as they've made 4-9 already.

Keep up the physicality, pounce and make the most of our chances.

Kudos to Bryn for fighting through the physicality on drives and actually dishing well inside. Giving up the ball isn't what he's known for.

For sure! Engaged is the right word. He's been making quicker decisions and driving with force with guys out.

Primo's the shiny new guy, and that he's the youngest player in the league always gets attention. Expectations for him rather than another lotto guy who's far more ready. I get it but yeah it gets stale quick.

Izzo used to get up his ass constantly in college also. I'm sure Pop and Izzo have talked about what gets him going....

He certainly doesn't use the same methods for other guys.

But then he let Fournier walk right past him and got benched lol.

Scoring drought.

Lonnie MUST use glass every time he drives, man.

2ND Q: SPURS 49

KNICKS 51

Well our eight-point lead evaporated and we fought back to cut it to a two-point deficit. They picked up the pace and physicality and transition play and we got put on our heels a bit on the latter portion of the Q.

We were 0-4 from 3 in the 2ND Q, and they caught us at the FT line whereas we closed the gap almost completely on the boards.

Ball protection is an issue as 7 of our TOs come from / result in 6 of their steals.

We only scored 23 points in this Q, from some missed bunnies and missed putbacks. This isn't the team to leave the ball up high and try layups on unless we're beating them off the dribble 100%. We have to go up hard with two hands, and hold onto the ball better.

DJ is leading us with 14 points and is now the only double digit scorer. Lonnie is taking a heap of shots but missing the boat load of them (2-10, 0-3 from 3 but 3-4FTs). He's driving very well, but finishing inconsistently in terms of using the glass.

Primo's not shy and was far more efficient at 2-3. Cacok is hustling hard, too. Joe is to passive. You have a weapon, young, man use it.

They got driving too comfortably at us late in the Q, so we have to prevent those at the point of attack and with help D.

We absolutely must do a gut check, call on all our reserves, and make sure we focus to understand and respond to proper rotations to contest the 3 better. Far to many of theirs were wide open with us running out far too late. Hands up on all their shots.

Play sound, clean D, push the pace, make smart, sure, fundamental passes, finish true at the rim.

Yeah Walker can get a shot whenever he wants, unfortunately he just isn't a good shot maker. If he could be more consistent (which im sure is what we hoped for when we drafted him) he would really be something. He needs to figure that out quick before he loses the athleticism.

Poor Cacok. I like his game but the size of the NBA is too much for him.

We found out quick that we can't have Primo and Wieskamp on the floor at the same time because they both just stand in the same corner

We can't keep exchanging baskets here, hoping for a miss. Need to dig deep and get clean stops.
