2ND Q: SPURS 63
BULLS 68
The good - we scored 34 points in the 2ND Q and won it.
The bad - we just gave up two 30+ point Qs.
The ugly - we got lulled into over covering one guy - we quarduple teamed DeMar! lmao Jesus... - and they cut back door for a completely uncontested layup to end the 2ND Q.
We are doing a great job scoring but need to get stops by pressuring the ball sooner and for the love of basketball gods STOP ALL THE EASY LAYUPS! Their backup PG is shooting 100% from the field lmao ffs
It's Pop's birthday - so let's play with the defense he so loves, yeah?
We're scoring very well ourselves - everyone except for Derrick and his 0-2... Dude, I love your game but show up, man...
Also, Devin from 3 needs to get going. He's only 3-7 because of three missed shots from beyond the arc...
It also doesn't help that our back court tandem has combined for 0-2 from 3 - this is the one standout negative about them, there's not a reliable 3 shooter between them. There USED to be with Derrick, but we have to put his 3 shot on the side of a milk carton to find it now. Even with that, we're still 7-20 from 3. But the fewer Spurs making them, the easier it will be to zero in defensively on the Spurs who are making them.
We have 18 assists at the half. EIGHTEEN!
If we can zero in on at least one of their three dominant scorers and limit his production, I think we'll stand a beter chance of sneaking in a lead.
Also, enough with the missed bunnies. DUNK THE BALL.
GO SPURS GO!!!

The Spurs Way
Thinking of you, Pop
