Fresh off the solid team win we look to be in preservation and development mode with key players out and other young ones then being given a chance to show their growing game. Our system and fundamentals are consistent from Austin to SA so we will see how the next wave of players are absorbing them and are able to translate them to positive court contributions.

We're getting layups like it's a practice. Can't complain.

We're frankly getting lucky with all their open misses, but we need to get our rotations right as we're getting confused as to who covers whom and where the switches should be.

Drew is boxing out well and grabbing rebounds.

I like that after Devin started missing outside shots he drove and got fouled, then hit an in rhythm quick 3.

We have a five on 4 and Lonnie pulls back out dribbling dribbling.... Luckily Jock made a cut to the basket and Lonnie passed it to him, but we have to recognize the situation, gents.

We're basically better at making open shots right now, and have to be careful about the O boards - 3-1 for them.

But considering we're missing three starters, we're doing well running in transition.

Need better awareness on the P&R coverage, something they'll run until we stop them well.

I'd love it if we drove at them more.

I'm convinced there's something off about Lonnie's brain to body connection. Like how many bad decisions is it going to take?

A drive and mid air kick out BACK for their steal, a missed open 3, another TO... Just like such poor decisions all over the court.

AND ANOTHER Keldon bad recognition tunnel vision ball sticks with him decision.

POP UPSET motioning for Keldon to think and LOOK. We ran that for Devin's WIDE OPEN 3 chance in the left corner but the ball never got to him because Keldon shot it instead.

I swear, the Klutch players get tunnel vision or Klutch just signs players who have it already and look for theirs.

There also seems to be an unspoken hierarchy like the guys who have been here longer think they should get first dibs on shots or something. NO. RUN THE **** PLAY POP TELLS YOU TO **** RUN.

I really didn't see it like that. It was a dumb play by Johnson but I think it was just that. Besides, Pop got in his ass immediately which is exactly what needed to happen. The only bad thing was that Vassell seemed to check out mentally for the next minute or so because of it.

I can see Johnson thinking he needs to step up because of who is out tonight and I think thats all it was, a brain fart. But for the record, I hate Klutch with a passion also...

Well well well. I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised at how we're hustling and getting simple transition points.

We're making some dumb decisions for TOs - most of these are of the trying to pass out of trouble while in MID AIR variety. Tsk tsk...

ALSO, since we're in DEVELOPMENT mode of setting in good habits, GOOD TO GREAT means running the play Pop designs, means making the EXTRA pass even though you're open, or not only when you're not open.

Juancho is showing some nice hustle and awareness of where to be. Got his hands on that O board and held onto it to force the jump ball to begin with.

Drew and Jock are hustling and moving well. Drew's flexing a bit with those 3s attempts - again, check first if there's a better option for a team mate...

I at half time on the court Pop is STILL all animated and in Keldon's face - GOOD.

Primo has a little bit of Lonnie flair-itis to his game, but he's talented enough that he can make up for it with actual good finishes for the most part. But rookie mistakes are what they are right now. I like his moxie of taking his 3s off his dribble.

I like that after we had a lead and they came back to take it, we went on another 7-2 run to finish ahead at the half. It's like we don't know we're supposed to be scared of this opponent and we're just playing with hustle and some smarts.

Ball protection, absorbing their runs, and returning the favour for the final 24 minutes, Spurs!

Good hustle by Drew to get his hands on the ball and smart to call the timeout to get the possession.

And every now and again, Lonnie makes magic from all the flair.

Great running out by Lonnie in transition to take the pass from Tre and finish at the rim.
