4TH Q: SPURS 120
WARRIORS 124
Like I've said through the entire thread, 3s and rebounds. They made 20 3s to our 15, and with Jakob and Jock out and us going small ball, we got outrebounded badly 46-34, including a deadly **** 15-5 on O boards. BOX. THE. ****. OUT.
We also had crucial 6 TOs in the final Q - and with 8 in the first 3Qs, we nearly doubled the output in the final Q.
Dumb early clock Js by Lonnie and Primo and others, Dumb mid-air passes and TOs, terrible four minute stretch in which we didn't **** score - AGAIN, and we gave up another big run, this time 11-0 during that stretch.
EDIT to add:
Yep. Pop sees it. Let the film burn into our brains TO BOX OUT AND MAKE SMART FUNDAMENTALS PASSES.
Five missed FTs in a four point game. I hope Pop makes us put up 500 each next practice. They drove and drove and we fouled and fouled. Again.
I feel really bad for Pop for having to witness such stupidity of **** fancy-itis for TOs, drives into contested keys for TOs, early selfish long shots - WHICH WE SHOULD NOT BANK ON FALLING AND WE DID NOT NEED! - when we ought to have run the clock and kept moving and kept driving, then we kept overcommitting players on their drives and they kept kicking it out for open 3s, another **** dumb cardinal sin we knew they would resort to because they'd been doing it all night and since they were on the SEGABABA it was their conserve energy play, and it's their bread and **** butter.
HOW MANY times were we too late for a contest? HOW MANY times did we not have a hand up to contest their 3s, our **** arms at our sides?
I still think Drew ought to have been out there for rebounding. Diop is too finesse of a player.
Missed bunnies, dumb plays on both ends, getting cocky and settling with a big lead, bad TOs, bad shots taken, their bread and butter shots allowed, and that's game.
Maybe THIS will teach us to NOT dribble into multiple defenders? Maybe THIS will teach us to NOT pass in mid air for TOs? Maybe THIS will teach us to RUN OUR PLAYS rather than settle for too early selfish shots and allow an opponent to run their best plays?
EDIT to add: This is the second game in a row where we have had a double digit lead after three Qs, and once again we absolutely **** let up with stupid plays which have a BAD PATTERN of resorting to and giving up big runs while not scoring - while taking early ISO shots - and there went our lead AGAIN. 35-16 in the final Q.
And if I'm repeating myself it's because it's what we saw over and over again. **** stupid plays on both ends.
I don't want Lonnie out there in crunch time. Too bad if I'm picking on him. Some good D then **** bad early shots-itis game in game out.
I'd rather Derrick have taken that end of game 3. He's more experienced.
Embarrassing loss versus a team that outhustled and outexecuted and outprided us. We played to the names on the back, disrespected the game by not playing to the name on the front, and paid the price.
Heads out of ass. Hang them in shame. Do better.
EDIT to add:
Yep. Pop sees it. Let the film burn into our brains to EXECUTE OUR SETS THROUGHOUT THE GAME. ****.

15 offensive rebounds for a Warriors team is insane.
Warriors took 13 more shots. That was the difference, imho.
The Warriors only had 9 (and finished with 8) players.
I think this Warriors win was more impressive than the Clippers 35 pt comeback - they did that with their stars.
