Is it me or have the last 10 or so games flown by? Here we are on the RRT already, in mid February, about to embark on the third of eight games. The challenge is to not settle for a couple of good games but continue to build on the play that got us the good result. We face another premier perimeter challenge and only our best two-way will do: D to O transition, ball, paint, and arc protection, shadow D to prevent easy passes to dominant scorers, and focusing on clock and situation for good to great movement-based baskets are the tasks tonight.

AAAAAND why did Keldon jump into an already congested key when they then pass out to the top of the arc - HIS MAN - for al all too open 3?!

The all black uniforms on the road are soo perfect! NO FIESTA! NO FIESTA!

Keldon tunnel vision had they left corner extra pass but chose to drive erratically and put up a bad contested shot and miss.

For their final basket just now, Keldon was supposed to rotate more fully over but after the driver beat Jakob on the right baseline, Keldon just watched they lay in.

Devin gets beaten by the first step but stays with driver for the block from behind. Sneaky length uncoiled at the rim.

Sloppy start, better finish, up until the final shot. I guess Lonnie has license on these? He must because he never passes, and I can't recall when he made one.

Devin is struggling on O so Lonnie's 2-4 in 4 minutes helps actually.

We're overcommitting players into the key on their drives and they kick out for open 3s or Js.

We're getting outrebounded 17-11, work to do there.

Zach getting cooked on post up, spins. Has to get used to D footwork there. But he made a good post move of his own with the fundamentals step through power move for an easy layin.

We need to make more 3s - only 2-7 so far.

Loving the D to O transition.

A bit sloppy, but we're getting steals and now converting them into points. Awesome.

TWO MISSED FT'S.

ERRATIC DRIVE INTO A CONGESTED KEY FOR A CONTESTED FADEAWAY J MISS.

OUT OF POSITION ON D TOO DEEP IN THEY KEY AS THEY PASS TO THE TOP OF THE ARC AGAIN AND NO CONTEST FOR THEIR 3 TO TIE THE GAME.

Yeah Keldon cannot defend DD.

Devin's useless on O this half...

DJ's hesitations, cross overs, and drives are beautiful. And effective.

2ND Q: SPURS 57

Despite the 57 points, we've left a lot of points on the floor: Devin has yet to make a shot - perhaps driving to the rim will get him going as before; Lonnie and DJ have each missed 2 FTs; lots of missed layups; only 4-13 from 3. Keldon is also struggling with 2-5, only 0-1 from 3, Diop 1-4, and Tre 0-1. We're led by Doug's relentless movement and shot making for 14 points. Lonnie leading the bench with 11 on 5-9, 1-2 from 3. They need more help.

On the other end, we keep giving them the top of the arc 3 too openly, allowing too many drives into the key rather than away from it, over-committing into key space and leaving the kickouts too open, and getting outrebounded badly 32-22, and 7-2 on O boards.

We're doing a good job getting steals (4), deflections, and pushing it on D to O transition.

We're just a bit off and chasing them about and it's taking us out of our rhythm. We're chasing our O rhythm, too. Lots of shots are front of rim misses. More legs under shots to generate better power.

More 3s taken and made, better rebounding, better rotations for closeouts. We started going over screens then as the game progressed we started going under screens and have been burned by that so we have to get to the drivers and shooters better. Faster doubles will help, too.

So that's what it feels like to get that tech on the receiving end lol

I like the increased push on drives and physicality on O by us, and the stingy D on rotations and switches.

ONCE AGAIN HE MAKES A TERRIFIC DRIVE AND BASKET, AND THEN FOLLOWS IT WITH AN ABSOLUTE DOG **** PLAY, THIS TIME WATCHING THEIR 3 GO UP. NO RUN UP, NO HARMS, UP. NOTHING.
