4TH Q: SPURS 130
BLAZERS 111
We lost the second half 62 to 53 but poured in so many in the first half that keeping it fairly close still gave us a comfortable cushion for the rest of the game.
Not sure how close they came, if at all, but we had EIGHT Spurs in double figures, four each for starters and bench, the latter contributing a strong 52 points led by Zach's 15.
Our bench also had 6 of our 9 steals. Solid two-way contribution.
Devin led us with an efficient 22, nice to see, Keldon, Jakob, and Primo joined him in efficiency, and Tre had an impressive 9-9-5 with no TOs.
Welcome back Lonnie. From the dunk highlights, looks like his back us back to better than ever.
16-37 from 3?! Well don on both fronts, gents!
Good rim protection with 6-2 in blocks and winning th boards battle 44-42 even though they got the O boards advantage 12-8.
We got to the FT line well for 28 attempts but made 22. Always som thing to work on. It is a testament, in part, to our point in the paint work, 52-44.
We gave you a whopping 24 point on our 14 TOs and got 15 from their 10 so oof! Definitely something to clean up.
But we took care of busin as without our leader, gave a lot of young guys a lot of burn (Tre and Primo led us with 33 and 31 minutes, respectively, the only players to reach the 30-minute mark), welcomed back and incorporated some returning players while still trying newer lineups for chemistry and effectiveness.
Goal reached. Lessons learned. Experience gained.
Now to build on it.
GO SPURS GO!!!
