Great Julian back door cut, great Mamu high low pass for the +1.

That was a bad decision and worse execution by Malaki earlier. Drove into a couple of defenders who sealed up the lane, then had no space to pass and it resulted in a heave back pass out for a TO.

Film for seeing more options.

But those curl drives and quick hips for Ks are sweet by Malaki. Getting deserved positive recognition by Mavs commentators.

Maybe we should consider contesting some 3s. Or ensure their hot 3s shooter doesn't get the ball in his hands.

2ND Q: SPURS 71 MAVS 59

We got cute and after scoring 42 and then 29. Then we got no stops and allowed 45 on us.

PITP are 28-all and we have a sizeable FT lead which means we are not putting any physicality on them, no resistance at the rim and we are sagging too much, not getting hands up enough to contest their 3s. They started out with 1 in the 1ST Q and now have 8 - that's 24 points and there goes our 31 point lead down to 12.

Bad D positioning which left lanes open and late help D didn't help.

Too many one and done attempts. Share the ball, move, defend.

Terrible possession from the baseline inbound. Mamu over dribble and end of clock heave and miss...

Great Blake and Dom tandem hustle to get the steal after half court pressure, then set up on O, bit of a break down with Blake picking up his dribble early, but then we kept moving, Blake to Dom to Blake for the sink.

3RD Q: SPURS 108 MAVS 91

Well that was a better response on both ends. More passing, good drives, some +1s, and better contesting at the rim with good rebounding.

Really nice to see Blake so assertive and figuring things out on the fly.
