He didn’t get a chance.

Hog boy took 20 shots in 25 minutes and never looked to pass.

He was terrific defensively stopping the 2nd overall pick with his physicality on several occasions. I can't believe he's around 6'8", 220lbs and only 19. So he'll fill in some more but already a bull and a willing defender. It will be his early calling card. He tried to dunk a couple of times but got stopped at the rim and shot FTs for the effort.

You can tell the speed of the NBA is something he'll have to adjust to but it's also clear that he will be a multi-position defender and he will be an absolute menace to whoever he's guarding 1 through 4.

SL is a time for various guys to show different things and each game highlights different guys. In this one, Julian and Dom stood out very well as the main one-two punch on O. Julian showed why we signed him and Dom is quickly outplaying the two-way QO he received but has yet to sign. Blake looked bigger and still quick but finishing at the rim is still an early aspect that needs work. Led the team with 8 assists so that was good.

So the second year guys were the main focus in this one and the team did well to move the ball and get it to the hot hands.

Sidy stood out with his defensive game which looked to be by design - show what you're best at, excel in your role. Different guys will get to show more of their games, likely including Sidy, as SL progresses and we see what we've got with the various SL signees (Stevenson stood out well with his shooting, for instance).

So Sidy did well in his role and hopefully we get to see a bit more of it, maybe in tonight's game

Not down with calling Cissoko a player? He looked really good. I wonder if Spurs coaching staff can make something out of him.

Julian Champ. is bound to be our scoring star. Excited for next game.
