Wesley groaning about not getting the ball. Dude you had 2 chances to make the right play and you chucked up garbage both times. I'd rather see a Wemby one legged three.......

4TH Q: SPURS 80 BLAZERS 85
This is my favourite capture of the night. It's Summer League. Wemby makes a great DEFENSIVE stop with timely help D to Julian man D to get a shot clock violation. Competitive fire RAWR!
Wemby had a GREAT GAME. Easy 27 but impressive all around. Three-level scorer. Led us with 7-12FTs. Good in-game adjustments. Great footwork. Moving into open spaces well. Terrific reads. Sound vision - there was that other worldly seeing eye pass out to the left corner... and the defense. The DEFENSE. He's so special and that never gets trite to point out.
WE WILL NEED TO KEEP MOVING MOVING MOVING throughout the regular season and beyond when Wemby has the ball.
Sidy quietly had his best O game. Missed some help D coverage but it's also because a team mates missed his so Sidy was left to cover two opponents down low.
Blake had some nice moments with ball pressure on D, some nice change of speed on drives, better finishes at the rim. Led us with 5 assists and somehow registered zero TOs, but the things he said in that sideline interview he wants to improve are the things he really needs to work on - court vision, finding team mates, reads, making the right play. Tends to pick up his dribble under pressure and in the paint rather than
Dom somehow worked his way to 17 efficient points and team best +4. It's one of those quiet underappreciated games accrued through will and effort. Lots of butter finger plays though. Needs to clean it up.
Julian disappeared except for that nice back door cut and finish. Some nice man D.
Malaki - worst game in a LONG time - 1-17, 1-8 from 3, 3-6FTs. Just tripled down on what wasn't working, took ill-advised, contested shots, missed team mates.
Overall, messy game, kept chasing it, bad habits, lack of movement, got beaten on drives, late help D, late rotations for 3s, missed team mates on rolls, , poor decisions and handles, 16TOs, gave up too many O boards.
Coach Nielsen ran a tight 8-man rotation and I think with Wemby likely shut down for the rest of the SL more of the other guys will get some burn.
It's about good habits and we showed some bad ones. Sometimes made shots cover up a bad shot selection and tonight it rightly exposed it. So the game doesn't count for anything other than reps and valuable feedback for improvement especially for players who will be part of the big club rotation.
