SPURS GAME DAY! PRE-SEASON GAME 1: SPURS AT THUNDER, 9-10-2023, 7PM (CT)

Following an open scrimmage, we embark on the first live action friendly of the season on the road versus another young team a bit further down the rebuild road. Good to get some reps in versus someone not ourselves, good to get competitive juices flowing more, good to get a measure of where we're at in our progress, and good to develop more chemistry together. Let's get after it!

We're pushing it ahead faster rather than dribbling it up (besides Tre).
Wemby great drive and pass.
Tre nice corner 3 and then cut for a back door pass reverse finish.

Great one two punch by Wemby - O board putback, runs ahead, Tre head up quick pass for the fake and dunk. Awareness.
We're fouling them too much though...

1ST Q: SPURS 43 THUNDER 30
Impressive start. Good hands on D with the active hands to swipe down on drives, good switches, and rim protection: 4 blocks, 4 steals.
Wemby leads the way with 10on 4-5, 0-1 from 3, 2-3FTs. He's everywhere on both ends and it doesn't even really look like he's trying that hard. Block, putback, pass, runahead for a dunk...
Good Cedi and Doug chemistry. Cedi tends to overdribble a bit.
We're moving the ball very well.
Blake looks more sure of his decisions, shot looks great.
We're pushing the ball well.
It's 6-1 on O boards against - something to be mindful of.
Julian was only 0-1. He's one of our best 3s shooters. needs more touches though there's only so much ball to go around.
Love the hustle and pace.
