This is our first home action versus another team though both will be without a full roster. Still, it's another chance to get reps together, to fine tune various line-up combinations, and run our sets. D-out, team-first, good to great.

It's nice to see Sochan back. He does look rusty, like he's overprotective/ cautious in bringing up the ball. Has to get crisper handles.

Can't believe we're down to this 3s-chucking no-namers team.

New lineups all over the place but we're making it to difficult - pass it to the open guy in the post.

Late D rotations on perimeter need work.

Good quick outlet passing.

2ND Q: SPURS 59 HEAT 56

Better second. We have 17 assists but it doesn't feel like it somehow.

Wemby's so good already. GREAT effort, falling on the floor, high BBIQ, solid fundamentals and he's just scratching the surface, as well as us getting him the ball optimally. The impact on both ends is impressive.

Devin is on that next tier. Stellar shooting. Will get all those open 3s but hopefully all that weight training shows his drive ability too.

Tre leads us with 5 assists from the bench.

Malaki tied for second highest 7FGAs but poor efficiency. Has to find other ways to score. Missing chances of passing to open team mates in favour of shooting. These are both things that stood out last season.

Cedi has to get used to handling the ball more. You can tell it needs practice.

We've yet to see Blake. I'd like to see him get some minutes.

3RD Q: SPURS 86 HEAT 84

You can tell we're running lineups and plays we're not yet used to and that's part of what pre-season is for. The other is to get a litmus test about where we need to improve.

Blake and Malaki have to finish at the rim better.

Sochan has noticeably lost bounce. He's not played in a long time but it stands out.

Bassey's bounce and effort are terrific.

Tre is a terrific distributor but we're going to need other guys to step up.

Hopefully Sidy gets more minutes.

Devin is effortless.

Wemby is a ridiculous highlight reel.
