First up is a home and home back-to-back versus a tough proven West contender. All in, D-first, good-to-great, for the full 48. Let's bring our best on both ends.

Spurs need a big win tonight. Give them some confidence that they can beat the more top teams. While Denver is probably a "one or done" team, they're still among the top in the West.

1ST Q: SPURS 32 NUGGETS 30

We led most of the way with excellent movement and cuts and P&Rs to get to their rim with ease.

We lost the lead brifly but got it back late, which is saying something considering we're 1-9 from 3.

Getting two quick fouls on Jokic is good early work. We have to keep going at him.

And protect the arc better. They are 4-12 already.

We have 12 assists to only 2TOs which is great. We're winning the boards 15-10 and 5-3 on O.

Very solid team start, active, good scoring distribution.

Wemby leads us with 9.

Julian leads the bench with 9 as well.

Let's keep it going!

I've criticized Collins hugely most of the year, and given credit when he's played well, like last game, but there isn't a back up big who can stop Jokic. Or a starter, for that matter. Your point about WEMVP stands, though.

What the hell offensive schemes were they to end the half? Wemby had midget WestBRICK in the post multiple times and these tomato cans are chucking 3's instead. Ughhh. Please get some stars to play with Wemby next year FO

2ND Q: SPURS 60 NUGGETS 52

Tough finish with Wemby getting his third foul late and they cut into our double digit lead, but we did a lot of good things on the way to 60 points.

Wemby with an unbelievable 22-13-2-1 already. But the other four startes have combined for 14 points. Barnes 6, and Dev, Steph, and CP really fighting through inefficiency. Still they are doing great hustle work and getting after the ball, hounding the hell out of rebounds and 50/50 balls.

The bench has steped up with 24, led by Keldon's 13, including stellar 3-6 3s shooting. Love seeing that high arc back. Julian has 9 on 4-8, good showing (except at the rim, weird).

Great movement, P&Rs whether small to big or vice versa, excellent getting after their rim with mulitple cuts and extra passes.

Excellent rebounding (31-21, 9-4 on O boards) and ball protection (only 6TOs), and ball sharing (21 assists).

Some shenanigans to sell fouls by them is what's going to continue to get resorted to. Lots of chippy play, lots of physicality.

End of Q play - DEV, MATE, FASTER, CRISPER, HARDER, SMARTER. YOU CAN'T HAVE WEMBY MAKE A HARD CUT INTO THE PAINT ON A SMALLER PLAYER AND GET CAUGHT OVER DRIBBLING AND THEN MAKING A LATERAL PASS. TERRIBLE. RUN. THE. PLAY. Castle should have had the ball to make a quick decision with it. He's shown he can.

Other than that, we have to get more scoring from our starting 1,2,3,4. And perhaps Mamu and his 3s and high BBIQ can make an appearance.

Excellent variety and effort on both ends. Double it up with requisite energy and smart BBIQ in the second half.
