Continuing on the east coast trip, we may be undermanned, so as throughout the season, next man up. Hopefully this will be competitive on both sides and lesser used guys with something to prove do so.

Blake to right elbow for the smooth J.

Then hits a 3!

Nice fundamentals at work.

Aaaaand Castle lures them in and gets to the FT line once again.

If this is what he's doing as a rookie, imagine him in his prime...

Aaaaand he goes 1-2 once again.

He'll have to bring up his efficiency to match the attempts level.

1ST Q: SPURS 22 PISTONS 30

Was close for a long while before a run did us in.

Good 3s shooting 'balanced' with missed bunnies.

Blake Dev and the uncs have stood out well.

Good energy and push D to O.

Make sure we protect our rim and maybe not get so stuck on small on big switches down low.

Barnes is crafty in faking one way, spinning another with an extra gear. Got a foul on their C which is good.

Steph gets to the rim well enough but needs that finishing toolkit package.

Dev over OVER dribbles when he's the 'vet' player, trying to get past one defender then another before giving the ball up. Either play our way or bloody get the handles tighter to actually beat someone with them.

Amazing what having good coaching does. Detroit's roster was a disaster compared to ours when the season started and look at them now. We used to be that team that got the most of our players.

I was never a big fan of Bickerstaff but you cant deny what wonders he has done with coaching up that roster and getting those players to buy in.

"Boy they are laying bricks right now" Pistons commentator as we impressively miss from everywhere.

True about their coaching. Monty was a disaster but you also can't fault them for going big in going after him. They've also had new FO leadership and have been in the high lotto a loooong while. And healthier.

And yes, the only reason I am watching this game is the Pistons LOL. Haven't said that in years.

Transition push to pass around the arc for a 3.

Miss.

O board.

Another 3 miss.

Barnes finally gets to the FT line.

It's like we're content to settle for 3s, tripling down what worked early but hardly since.

Tobias must be thanking his lucky stars 76ers 'moved on' from him.

Dev gave up on that driver rather than moving his feet to take away the baseline. No bueno.

Yes. Monty was a disaster and everyone knew it when they hired him but they did it anyway.
The worst thing with the franchise was when Bill Davison died they wound up with a new owner that did not know a thing about basketball or cared. They suffered through a lot of front office mistakes and zero direction. He wound up moving them back downtown when they had a great arena that was already paid for and they owned everything from parking to concession. Now they are a tenant in this building and dont own anything.

But they finally got a coach who knows what he's doing at least.
