1ST Q: SPURS 28 CAVS 38

Missed too much of it unloading groceries but 38 is too much to give up and Castle with a quarter of our points is a good start.

2ND Q: SPURS 50 CAVS 67

Well. Oof.

I'd say it's one of those games that reflects where each team is but then again we are missing our three best assets, so it's that disparity in that context.

3s are raining down on us - 15-30. OOOF oof oof... We've only made 6-21 from the arc, and overall our deent 45.2% shooting isn't leaping their 50% from the field.

We need stops. We need to get the the FT line more (only 6-10, neither number good enough).

Castle with 15-5-5 at the half already on excellent 5-8 (0-2 from 3), 5-6FTs is wonderful. I love his incorporating middies more, especially that drive and float left and release a teardrop with the right hand. Very pretty. And effective. Better touch tonight.

But this means the *rest of the team* has combined for the other 4FTAs. Tsk tsk tsk...

exactly half of our shots are form the arc where we're not making it well. We have three middies around the paint, making 2-3. And the rest are in the paint. So they're either makes or missed bunnies or clean contests. Not a lot of FTs to be had in the chances we've created.

Lean into physicality and pace.

Really nice smart effort with this group - Blake Dev KJ Champie Mamu. Good e. xtra passes, running out to right spots, hustle for the ball. Nice chemistry.

You know, if you'd have told me in the season when KJ was featured as the #1 O option that he'd be a willing passer, and make the right reads on time, I would not believe it. But here we are and here he is doing just that. Underrated.

Improves the 3, improves the middy, but can't make a **** layup. A staple for a PG with the quickness to get to the rim, but no...

3RD Q: SPURS 82 CAVS 91

We win this one 32-24 largely on some more uptempo play and on smart movement and extra passes.

A bit of two steps forward, one back, with the TOs and missed bunnies, but oerall more forward movement to shrink the deficit. At one point it was only 6.

Castle with 20-6-8 now...

Keep giving him the ball.

Castle shocks himself with a missed dunk. You can tell he took his eye off it for just that split second. Eh it happens... Keep going, rook!

Except for above, Castle has been using glass angles much better. Also just finished into the body of a much bigger player, protected the ball, and released at just the right time.

Don't like the last two 3s attempts by Castle. Keep the ball moving. There's a reason they're banking on leaving you wide open.
