What are we?
Are we injured? How come we're not playing well of late.. I know it's very early, but what do you guys think is the cause of our decline over the past couple of weeks?
I'm simply awaiting a good trade for the Spurs so we could get some energy back into this team, we're simply too old..

Adde, you beat me to creating this topic. It seems like the injuries have forced the Spurs to look and play rather mediocre lately. Considering it's the Spurs, not time to push the panic button. Like Ballings said, if the Spurs can't seem to get out from under the injuries. It may be a cause for concern a bit. Truefully, I think the Spurs could bust a decent move considering that half of the roster is over the age of 30+ yrs old. Just a thought for example.
Spurs trade F. Oberto and I. Mahmini(sp)
TO
Hawks for Z. Pachulia and a 2008 second rounder.
The Spurs get younger at the center position. Zaza also brings solid effort to both ends of the floor. Also if I'm not mistaken, he can hit the mid-range jumper a bit.
The Hawks get Oberto back who can chip in on both ends of the floor and Mahmini(sp) can be another big man for the Hawks to have in case one of their big men gets an injury.

Guys we're coasting right now. Parker especially looks tired as hell and not interested when he's out there. Manu's finger is still busted up pretty good as was obvious last night vs Philly everytime he drove and got a whack he'd cringe and grab it. He's not driving as much because of this. TD is bringing it on both ends luckily. We really miss Barry's three threat off the bench too. Last night really was evident, i was crying out to have Barry off the bench just to get us a couple of quick three's to steady the ship. Elson has been very good and frustrating at the same time. Bringing energy but making stupid turnovers. Vaugn is Vaugn, just gonna play solid but unspectacular. Ime has come along nicely he just needs to hit his 3 more consistently. Bowen as well.
Once we have Barry back and hopefully Parker and Manu get some much needed rest over the ASG we should be right for the second half.

I like Pachulia as a solid complementary big, but not enough for the Spurs over Oberto.
What if i drop Oberto and sub in Elson instead? Salary wise it still works.

I actually wouldn't do that, either. Elson's mobility and athleticism on both ends is unique on this team. Also helps that he has a decent jumpshot. Specifically, he's proven twice he's quite effective defending Dirk Nowitzki (one time longer than the other). That'll be quite useful for the playoffs if the Spurs meet Dallas.
I've really gotten to like Elson and Oberto as different helper big men for Duncan.
Just overall don't see a deal for Pachulia with the Spurs.

id baulk at giving up oberto and ian for zaza. if its elson though, my interest is peaked. just my mild dislike for elson and mild interest in zaza being bated out.
its a moot point though; i doubt the spurs are going to be throwing in the towel on ian this early yet. he has shown nothing but promise so far in the dleague.

The rookie from France continues to make progress with the Toros, and has upped his field-goal percentage to an amazing 62% on the season. Mahinmi fouled out in his last game against Rio Grande Valley, but it was the first time it happened in nearly a month. Offensively, he shows a reliable right hook from the post, and has solid hands around the basket. The rookie tries to dunk nearly everything inside, and his body and athleticism may allow him to translate this against NBA big men. Defensively, Mahinmi isnStupidity Should be Painful!
