Utah's playing noticably better lately, and are a better team with Okur back and the addition of Korver...
However, I think a combination of us being better + the Hornets loss + the Jazz playing yesterday = a solid victory to start off things

I don't know what to expect anymore with this team..
I'll predict we win close if Duncan gets 20+ shots..if he doesn't, we lose..
hopefully Ginobili plays smart or makes shots this game..

Ginoboli owns the Jazz. Tough game for the Jazz, back to back tough with it being a hard fought victory last night in Houston.

I guessing it's gonna be close. If Jazz were fresh i'd proably predict a loss for us, however they're ona B2B so realistically we should beat them. I hope we do, but won't be shocked if we get our asses handed to us.
On another note i just paid for my tickets to the Spurs - Magic game in March! Got pretty close to the front! Excited for that game!

we're too inconsistent to really predict anything solid, I hope we win, but Utah has one of the best Home records this season, it will be a tough game.

We have traditionally done very well vs the Jazz but we I will call it how I see it. We are playing bad by our standards.

sucking again, like usual as of late..
Elson needs to get his ass shipped out of San Antonio..he doesn't understand his role on the team..he's trying to be something he isn't offensively..
we just can't stop Deron Williams playmaking..

I don't know how we're going to win any games with the shooting being how it is..Finley and Bowen aren't making..which forces us to play Bonner, who doesn't do anything else particularly well..
Duncan and Manu are shooting well, but they have 12 turnovers combined..
Ime needs more minutes..he's only playing now because nobody else is playing well..he needs to play a lot now though..he's been playing well every game..
Tony Parker needs to sit out some games..he can't drive, so he's just taking long jumpers or missing his layups that he always makes..he also can't rotate at all defensively, and he can't stay with any other good PG's..the heal is clearly bothering him..
I really don't see us beating any other good teams for a while..the shooters are struggling, Parker is hurt, Ginobili isn't playing like himself..how are we going to win any games vs. good teams like this?..

Are your game threads always this slow? I guess with as much success as you guys have had, a monday night game in January doesnt exactly do it for you. That'd be a nice feeling to have.

What's wrong with the Spurs?

real talk here..I know a lot of people don't think we should do anything, but I think we have to make a minor trade..the current shooters we have aren't acceptable, and we need a quality big man to go along with Duncan..
we're going to get better when Parker gets healthy, and Manu to a lesser extent, but I don't think we're still going to be as good as we were last year..Bowen isn't looking as good..Barry keeps getting hurt..Finley is declining..
we need another shooter, while getting rid of one of the swingmen and Elson..
Oberto should be a backup IMO..

All you can do when it's this bad is

, Parker sucks ass right now, guy needs to sit out for 2-3 weeks to heal up, Pop needs to stop playing Robert Horry for f##ks sake, but whatever, another game tomorrow

Was getting fun in the 4th there... oh well
Continue to love Udoka, he's showing something like every game. Especially liked that nice turn-around jumper he hit on the base-line, off a pass from somebody. Just imprsssive, again. Definitely liked the toughness he showed, just shouldn't of jawed with Clark, and that was unecessary. Getting him ejected.
Vaughn played a solid game
Tim, Manu played strongly overall, but Tony was clearly off, and I do agree does need to sit out for a little bit.
I liked how Elson played defensively in the 1st half. He really was a factor there. Didn't play as much in the 2nd half, though. Took a bad shot in that turn around jumper, but the other post-up attempt was clearly a flop by Korver. I didn't see anything wrong with his game other than that one shot.
I can see us making a trade, but am not really going to expect anything.
Pop doesn't need to stop playing Horry. He needs to start getting into shape more, which is why his minutes have been increased. He's been there defensively, just needs to get his shot going now. Really enjoyed that block on Deron.

I don't know the situation with Stoudamire but if the Spurs can pull the trigger and get him they should go for it, let Parker sit and heal up while Stoudamire eats up the minutes for Parker.

Yeah, but despite that, does Stoudamire's game fit with this team? He has to adjust significantly. Taking less shots than ever, passing more, and must play adequate defense.
If that can be there with him, I wouldn't mind signing him. If we don't sign him, I'm just fine with Vaughn as back-up.
But as a temporary replacement for Tony? Well, Stoudamire would be better.

As a huge Jazz fan, I think the feeling is pretty mutual among all my fellow Jazz fans that regardless of how well(or poor) the Spurs have been playing at times this year, they are still the odds on favorite to win the title. Good luck the rest of the way, and I hope like hell that we dont meet you again in the playoffs!

well you guys played like you wanted it more and got some shots falling down in crucial runs, well deserved win for the Jazz.

This is why I love Spurs fans. As a Jazz fan, EVERY game you go the opposing teams boards and all you see is complaining about how the Jazz play too physical. No Spurs fans complain about hard fouls or tough defense. The Spurs also play incredibly physical which I love. What a game.

jazz, physical? as a suns fan i dont think the jazz are a physical team at all, at least not to the point where i would complain about it
i like the way the jazz play
as for this game, got a little fiesty, i LOVE that, as a suns fan i dont know if I should be happy or not about the spurs form coming into the match with the suns, no doubt you guys will be fired up for it

Jazz simply out shot us in the end. Hit their shots and made crucial plays down the stretch. Good game Jazz!
I'm with pro2020 sign up Damon asap and let Parker sit out. He clearly isn't even at 50% right now. With Barry out as well we have zero ball handling if Parker does sit off the bench. We have to make a move and get another PG in so Parker can get back to 100%.
