No. Curry isn't the answer to spend all our expirings on two key back ups. David Lee however i'd say yes to.

What is up with all these Eddy Curry trade proposals recently?

Again, just no.

Barry > Curry for this team. Elson's mobility, size, athleticism, and ability to effectively defend Dirk > Curry.

No, not for Eddy Curry...

if I was going to pull a deal with the Knicks, I might try something like this.

Zach Randolph (+ Renaldo Balkman if I can get Isiah to bite)

for

Barry, Bonner, Elson, Horry

Assuming a pre-existing deal to buy out Barry and Horry for the Spurs to re-sign for the vet min.

Duncan/Oberto
Randolph/Horry/ ?Balkman?
Bowen/Udoka/ ?Balkman?
Ginobli/Finley/Barry
Parker/Vaughn/Barry

It may be the counsel of desperation, but suddenly SA's Big men look like they can suddenly compete with LA's. I still like it against the Suns. And if I can get Balkman, I'd love to see him vs. Nowitzki against Dallas. He'd also give us a nice 15 mpg against Garnett.

Salary Cap wise, this year, it's not bad. Net gain is 2 vet min salaries, and a savings of $260,000. However, Randolph's contract balloons till 2010/11. Therefore, I don't think we'd do it... Maybe if we thought we could get rid of Randolph during the offseason without screwing ourselves with worse contracts...

Agreed. Lee would be a good fit in SA.

I'm not interested in any of the other Knicks.

Lee and Balkman are the only 2 Knicks I have any interest in at all.
