Good Idea

I hope the Dallas Mavericks do the trade, they get rid of Harris, Diop, and Stackhouse!

All we need to do is put Bowen on Kidd and Udoka on Dirk !

Harris always killed us, so ya, I think this trade would help us to match up much better with them.

I think Elson would be the main guy on Dirk. Two times (each in different lengths), he's had good success guarding him. With help from Udoka. Only once was Elson put on him at a long length, and wasn't put him on much or at all after the game last season in November. Combined with Duncan at the hoop. Playoff strategy/test, I'd say. Elson was also out for awhile after a shoulder injury in the winter, last season. The other time was at Dallas earlier this year, and Dirk went quiet when Elson was on him for some minutes in the game. Much shorter compared to the first time, though.

best thing that could happen to the spurs...diop cant guard timmy anymore and devin cant guard tony...I wouldnt say, kidd ist a nice piece to have next to josh and dirk, but in terms of matching up with us, they lost a lot...stack will be bought out and return...but I always felt, that he sometimes destoyes their team with his trigger-happiyness...so I dont worry...now the team I fear most are )in order):

LAK
...
...
...
BOS+DET
...
...
...
...
GS
...
...
...
...thats it! :D

I'm looking forward to see my countrymate dirk paired with jason

I don't think we even need to guard Kidd. He has an even worse jumpshot than Harris and can't drive on us like him.

I must be the only person on this board to not want to have to face Kidd in the playoffs. Kidds strength is in his ability to create for his teammates. Kidd does a lot of things I'd like to see more of from Parker, actually.

It's not so much about Kidd, as it is about Dallas' team. Overall I basically don't think they upgrade as a team, but do in ways at PG.

Also, Tony has been a better play-maker this season. In addition, averaging just under 7 APG. It's been noticable.

well with Marion gone from PHX and Half of dallas's bench traded for Kidd i think it really makes them alot easier to beat in my point of view.
Lakers will be a challenge Kobe will get his we really need to do a good job on Gasol and Udoka and Bowen need to make Kobe work for his shots. The one thing about PHX and Dallas they don't have a guy that can just make things happen.
There isn't anyone on that roster that you fear could go off for 50plus on any given night.
Kobe is that kinda guy, while he's on the floor you always think there is a chance he can take it away from you. I'm actually looking forward to that series it will have some fireworks for sure.
But with these win now trades that PHX and Dallas have pulled i think it signals the end of the SAS DAL PHX triumvrant over the western Conference

with or without ron artest or a major trade for us

these teams wont stand in our way,
AJ:"I'm Western Conference," he said. "I'm Popovich. I'm for him, for Texas and for the Spurs."
