The Spurs fan in me just died a little today...

Sorry, I'm upset and need to vent about something...seem's as good a place as any!

So as a Spurs fan living in Augusta, GA, the only way I can see them is to hope that they're in a nationally televised game. When I heard about NBA League Pass, my then-cable company didn't offer it so I switched to Comcast. After the switch, I picked up the phone and tried to order League Pass. "Sorry, we don't carry that service in this area." So that sucked.

Fast forward to a week ago, when I decided to go satellite and switch to DirecTV, who would guarantee League Pass access. I'm all excited for the 2nd half of the season, and the big day was today. So I wait around all morning for the installers, they finally get there, look around with their little instruments...I can't get satellite where I live because of the neighbor's tree. Wha?!? NOOOOOOO!!!! I almost broke down.

So in summary, after doing everything I could possibly do to see my boys play, I CAN'T WATCH THE SPURS BECAUSE OF A ******** TREE. :banghead:

You can try online stuff. NBA LP Broadband. http://www.nba.com/broadband/league_pass.jsp

The Spurs will still get on wide-range TV several times, too. TNT/ESPN/ABC: 9, NBATV: 2.

Yeah I looked into LP broadband, but they don't sell it as a standalone thing; i.e. you have to have a subscription to the full NBA league pass in order to get it. :(

I vote to chop the tree down. Is there really no place to install the satellite? Is the tree that large?

You go over there and chop the tree down... and then blame Rasho for it.

LOL, the tree is REALLY freakin' big. Not the kind of thing you can handle yourself, and I don't really know my neighbor very well, so favors are probably out of the question.

But I have a new plan: my parents just got digital cable where they live, and League Pass is available on their service. I think I'll pay them to get it and then use their info to access LP broadband...I might be in business!

I know how you feel. I live in Australia and the options for watching the Spurs are extremely limited. The last game I saw was the great comeback against the Lakers, and that was a while ago. It doesn't make me any less of a fan though, surprisingly.
