Suns General Manager Steve Kerr said the 36-year-old guard told him this morning that he has chosen ??? over Phoenix, San Antonio, Boston, Houston and Dallas. Barry cleared waivers today after being traded by San Antonio last week to Seattle, which released him Friday to set off a weekend of recruiting.

the Lakers were in that list, it's possible that they snatched him up.

Nah, looks like an early draft of a report that got leaked, hoping for some word on Barry one way or another.

MySA.com is reporting that he hasn't made any sort of decision yet, and it might not even come anytime soon.

nope, thats just a predraft article that some intern probably accidentally posted. notice how the headline says "Suns land/miss out on Barry"? its just a prewritten article so they can break the news asap when it actually goes down.

My first piece of info...

Barry called last night and said he was coming to Phoenix...then called back 5 minutes later and said his agent got another offer. Steve is on his way to SA to try to convince him. Stay tuned.

It doesn't look too good. I don't think he would back out for the Spurs since I don't think the Spurs would be the other offer. Anyhow, we'll see what happens. The suspense continues.

Actually, there is word that the Spurs have upped the offer to a 3 year deal, so that could be what that poster is referring to:

Interesting

Assuming it's true and all guaranteed, I'm not that surprised Barry would stay around and play after this season. He can still play in the right role generally, and in a limited role with us.

All of us assumed he'd probably retire or not be re-signed after this season. But staying and probably having a restricted role, I didn't rule out in my mind.

Our depth would get even more solid with Barry back... Damon, JV, Finley, Udoka, Barry, Horry, Kurt, Bonner (Mahinmi).

Is it just me, or does it seem like Barry is purposely cockteasing the suns? lol. Man that would be hilarious if he was.

I'm starting to want Barry back, since Stoudamire has apparently forgotten how to make shots..
