LeBron James is the single most dominant player in the NBA. I am a Cavaliers fan, so it can be argued that I am biased, but let the record speak for itself: LeBron puts up numbers that no NBA player has managed since Oscar Robertson (the four game stretch of 30/12/11). He has put-up single game performances that hasn't been seen in 35 years (50 pts, 8 rb, 10ast). He is the youngest player to accomplish every feat, breaking records that Kobe previously held, a year earlier than Kobe.

Total dominance? LeBron James is 6'9 260 (according to him), he has played, and guarded EVERY position this season. What other player can claim that? Can any even claim 4 of the 5? He is the only SF I have seen back down Dwight Howard.

People say he doesn't play defense that well. I disagree. When the Cavaliers played the Lakers, who guarded Kobe in the 4th quarter - and shut him down? That's right, LeBron! And who guarded LeBron? Kobe. But did HE shut LeBron down? No.

I use Kobe Bryant here because he is the person that is considered the best scorer in the game... yet LeBron guarded him during crunch-time. If he can shut-down the default best scorer in the league, then how can anyone say he isn't a good defender?

Add to all of this that he turned 23 years old just a couple months ago, and how can anyone not be convinced that LeBron is the single most dominant force in the league?

People point to Kobe Bryant as the best scorer. And I cannot deny that his shot is prettier than LeBron's and he makes some seemingly magical shots. However, LeBron shoots a higher percentage than Kobe, and if he took less jump-shots and drove the lane more, his percentage would rise dramatically.

In conclusion, LeBron does things that not even Michael Jordan accomplished in his illustrious career; He has gone head-to-head with the best big men and the best guards in the league, yet always seems to come out on top. When he is in the All-Star game (every year), he is the guy that the coaches run their offense through. When LeBron is on the court, he is the MAIN focus of the opposing defense, regardless of who else in on his team. That, in itself say everything that needs to be said: LeBron is the best.

And you post this on the Spurs board because........??

What's the point? I thought this article was gonna have something to do with the Spurs. Lebron is the best young talent available, but right now, i honestly will still take Kobe Bryant over Lebron James.

I am glad they banned you... you can circle jerk somewhere else.

Didn't get to see that game (was actually thinking about taping it, but didn't), but from the highlights it looked like it would of been a blast to watch. As a basketball fan.

The problem I have with the Cavs is, LeBron still has no legit 2nd offensive option. No proven side-kick. No Pippen-type. Ilgauskas is 3rd option at most. West is around there, too.

They've had and do have the role-players (and finally an upgrade at PG), but still no right hand man for LBJ. Hughes wasn't the right fit there in that role, who generally isn't a #2 offensive guy anyway.

This gets overlooked a lot, because of how good and big-time LeBron is. But, he still needs a serious helper.

Yeah LOL, a guy has the nerve to come into a Spurs forum and tout how good Lebron is after the Spurs dismantled his team last year in a convincing sweep. Makes no sense at all...

As long as it's the LBJ show, everybody else will get the third rated offensive option routine. You're right though. LBJ needs another scorer to help relive a bit of the pressure off of him some game days.

Thankfully he got banned. But I was gonna say the very same thing.

It's not so much about the option, oppurtunities, as it is about the level of player next on down from LeBron. The drop-off in ability is incredible after LeBron. That drop off needs to be lessened to better the team and increase their chances in the playoffs.

Even on the level of a third option player, there isn't a real third option there. Ilgauskas is still an above-average player, but not what he used to be.

Also, Cleveland, is still not close to being a balanced squad. Their offense needs to get better. I'd say they improved to an extent offensively with their trade. But again, that other significant player that is better than the rest, is needed, and I think they'd be a balanced team with that added dimension.

As great as LeBron is, and as much as he can do, he can only do so much as one player.

If LeBron can get to the finals more and/or win the title without a good 2nd guy, a constant right hand man - it'll be amazing.

Why has this thread gone to 2 pages on the Spurs board? lol this thread got locked nearly everywhere else.

On second thoughts, we need as much threads as possible on this board if we're to climb the thread ladder and get out of second last place lol.

He's a great young talent, but come back when he's something more than merely a statistical powerhouse.
