I can understand why you didn't see the coming, he always gets over looked and damnit I'm tired of it and I'm a Laker fan on top of that. The guy is over the top good and get snubbed from the all-star game at least give him some damn votes on this right here. I have always love watching him play because he has a passions for the game that many players in the leauge just don't have and on top of that he dosen't have a big head about it either. He could start or come of the bench and still be happy. I feel that as long as he feels that he's giving his best to help his team then thats all he needs. Plus he's the PERFECT TRIANGLE POINT GUARD. He's an all around player, all around out-damn-standing player. I must say you guys need to hold on to him. If you guys win the war out west, the crown Manu the Finals MVP.

I think he has a legit shot of being the 2nd best shooting guard of all time. I still think West is better but Kobe enough time to catch up to him. People forget how scary good West was. He was a lockdown defender, slash better than Wade and had unlimited range.

There are a lot of names not on the list and a few that are probably don't belong. It is nice to see the iceman gets some recognition though.

I'm confused by how they rank them. Are they judged by stats? championships? or skill?
I didn't follow the NBA during Jerry West era. All i knew is he's the logo and that he did great things as a GM with the Lakers. but watching clips of him, Jerry West is not better than Kobe. Put Jerry West in the modern day NBA, he's not better than Kobe. Put Kobe back in Jerry West era, Kobe is still better. I mean... It's not even close IMO. As far as accomplisment or stats (i don't know West's stats), maybe there could be legit argument. But as far as best players? Kobe is second only to Michael Jordan IMO.

Jerry West Career Stats (career points = 25,192)
Games = 932 FG% 47% RBPB = 5.8 APG = 6.7 PPG = 27.0
Here is a link to a good read on him:
